  • Neptune Flow Monitoring Kit (FMK) Neptune Systems Flow Monitoring Kit (FMK) base unit showing ports

    Neptune Flow Monitoring Kit (FMK)

    In Stock

Neptune Flow Monitoring Kit (FMK) Overview Start monitoring the flow in your aquarium with the Neptune Systems FMK (Flow Monitoring Kit). FMM FLUID MONITORING MODULE IT DOES SO MUCH! The FMM (Fluid Monitoring Module) is a multi- purpose module that, with the help of various accessories, enables your Apex to do: Flow Monitoring Leak Detection Water Level Detection Power 24VDC accessories Future sensors FMK Flow Sensors Return Pump: Measuring the flow of your aquarium's main return pump is an incredibly useful piece of information. The key benefit would be to have the Apex notify you the instant the flow stops for any reason - usually the result of a failed or faulty pump. Furthermore, an indication of a reduced flow rate could be used to determine that the pump or the lines are dirty or are becoming clogged with algae, debris, animals, or the growth of organisms inside your plumbing.Auxiliary pumps on reactors and the like: This is a very handy application for the FMM. Place a flow sensor on a device like a carbon/gfo/biopellet reactor and it serves many purposes. First off, you will know if your pump is not flowing correctly or failed altogether. Next, you can easily fine-tune the flow into the reactor by watching the dashboard tile on your Apex. Finally, you can know when the reactor is becoming clogged with detritus or possibly channeling has occurred by an alert on your Apex or by monitoring your dashboard. Put a flow sensor inline to your device, plug it in to the FMM, and see exactly the flow rate of the water (any aquarium fluid really) going through that sensor. The industrial-grade flow sensors use either a turbine or paddle-wheel mechanism (depending on the model) to measure the flow. It is important to note that the flow rate that will be reported back to you from the flow sensors will likely be far lower than you expect or what is printed on the pump label or documentation. This is due to head pressure loss from physical height differences, long runs, restrictions such as ball valves, fittings like elbows, tees, and reducers, and then finally the loc-line many use as the entry point into their tanks. As an example, a pump rated at 3200gph will likely be showing less than half that amount in nearly all applications.Four Ports: The FMK comes with three flow sensors but the FMM has a total of four ports. This means you have one port free to use for another purpose. Buy additional flow sensors (available also in 2" and 1/4" sizes) or choose from other options available and add even more functionality! Each Neptune FMK includes following items 1 - FMM (Fluid Monitoring Module) - is a module that connects to any Apex (Apex(2016), Apex Classic, Apex Lite, Apex Jr.) - via it's AquaBus port providing four multi-function monitoring ports that can be used for flow sensors, water-level sensors, leak detection sensors and possibly future products as well. 1 - 1" Flow Sensor - This flow sensor connects to the FMM, monitors the flow of water through the device, and then reports it back to your Apex via the FMM. This sensor is most often used to measure the flow in the main return line of a standard-sized aquarium. 2 - 1/2" Flow Sensors - This flow sensor connects to the FMM, monitors the flow of water through the device, and then reports it back to your Apex via the FMM. Two of these are included in the FMK. These sensors are perfect for attaching to devices such as media reactors, biopellet reactors, etc. 2 - 1" Unions - To connect your FS-100 Flow sensor, we have included in the FMK, two 1BSPT -> 1Slip PVC Unions. (North American markets only) 4 - 1/2" Adapters - To connect your two FS-50 Flow sensors, we have included in the FMK, two 1/2BSPT -> 1/2Slip PVC Adapters.(North American markets only)

    Neptune Apex 1Link Module

Neptune Apex 1Link Module Neptune 1LINK Easy, one-click installation! Overview The WAV is the first of a line of aquarium products from Neptune Systems that will use a completely new interface. While many in the aquarium world continue to embrace wireless technologies for interconnectivity, we have decided to go the other direction - a wire. Wireless connectivity from your smartphone or tablet to your Apex (or other controller) is completely logical - and we embrace that. However, wireless used for the interconnecting of devices within the confines of common aquariums (that are mostly less than 6' long) is not only unnecessary, but it reduces reliability. Our philosophy is that when distances are measured in a few feet, wireless is a solution looking for a problem. And ironically, wireless really does not save wires. You still need to use a wire to get power to the devices anyway. And let's not forget configuration - wireless devices require syncing, endless button presses and arcane steps to get them to connect up - hopefully with you and not your neighbor. Finally for all this "benefit", you as the consumer get the added cost of this wireless technology that must be baked into the price of every device you buy. So after much study of the problem, our answer is 1LINK. It is called 1LINK because there is one power supply, one module (for up to three 1LINK devices), and a one-click-connection of a wire that carries not only the power for the device, but two-way communication from it to your Apex. Setup is simply click and go. Less wires, less configuration headaches, and best of all, less cost to you as a consumer!

  • Neptune Liquid Level Sensor (LLS) 23 Inch. For all Apex aquarium controllers. Apex Fusion display showing Neptune LLS

Neptune Liquid Level Sensor - 23 Inch

    1 review

    In Stock

Neptune Liquid Level Sensor - 23 Inch Overview The Neptune LLS Sensors for your Apex controller allow for the measurement of water depth in inches or centimeters. The Liquid Level Sensor is available in four different sizes- 4", 15" 23" and 35" with each sensor having a special place in helping understand the water level in the sump, aquarium, reservoirs, and other liquid-holding containers. No longer do you need to physically look to see how much water level is above or below a specific point, but now simply open the Apex Fusion App and observe. How LLS from Neptune works The LLS sensor can connect to any available FMM port in your Apex System. Liquid will enter the plastic envelope around the thin material of the sensor. Once the liquid is in contact with the sensor material the LLS uses a patented resistive sensing technology to accurately and reliably measure the liquid level in a container. Included with each LLS sensor is a clip that allows for the mounting of the sensor to the side of the sump, aquarium or container. You can also mount the LLS sensor to a baffle inside the sump. Once calibrated the LLS is accurate to about two-tenths of an inch. Application The 23" sensor is a bit larger version of the 15" sensor and can be utilized in similar applications to the 15" but for larger sized-aquariums A great application to consider is utilizing these advancing a roller mat. Application The components in the head of the LLS are fully encapsulated in epoxy, but the LLS is not intended to be fully submerged. Care should be taken when selecting the proper length of LLS and installing it to ensure that the water level never exceeds the uppermost graduation mark.

  • Neptune GRO Refugium Light - Pipe Mount Neptune Systems GRO Refugium Light - Pipe Mount being used in real life and growing algae in your aquarium aquarium.

Neptune GRO Refugium Light - Pipe Mount

    In Stock

Neptune GRO Refugium Light - Pipe Mount Overview The GRO is a specialized, 20W LED light designed to grow many types of common macroalgaes (i.e. Chaetomorpha) using a specialized light spectrum which maximizes photosynthesis. It plugs directly into any available DC24 port in your Apex ecosystem, or alternatively, it can also be run completely standalone.Compact Design Compact, flat, rectangular LED grow light measures 8.7" X 6.1" X 1.4" making it the perfect fit for the smaller refugium compartments in many modern aquariums - as well as those that wish to grow macroalgae in a separate refugium.84 LEDS With Optimum Spectrum84 LEDs in four colors create an evenly distributed spectrum optimized for macroalgae growth. Two key wavelengths for algae photosynthesis are emphasized - 455-460nm and 620-670nm.Large Surface Area of Illumination with Less Spillage Large, rectangular form promotes better algae growth, while reducing nuisance algae from light spillage, as intensity is evenly spread across a refugium area that is almost always rectangular. The GRO can effectively cover a refugium area up to 18"x24"Even Light Distribution With No Hot Spots Round, spotlight style refugium lights, often create uneven spread of intensity. This causes hotspots that lead to algae burning or stunted growth. With the GRO, the 84 LED in a rectangular form factor create even light intensity and no hotspots.Less Nuisance Algae Due To Light Spillage Nuisance algae on in our sumps and on our equipment is normally one of the downsides of using a refugium. Since most refugia are rectangular, the GRO projects light in a similar manner. Also, with its low-power, distributed LED design, the GRO can be placed very close to the water surface further limiting light spillage and therefore nuisance algae.IP64 Water Resistant Design The GRO is IP64 rated which means splashes and salt spray will not take it down. This means it can safely be placed close to the water surface, maximizing light effectiveness, and reducing wasteful light spillage that often causes nuisance algae in other parts of a system.Easily Connects To A Free DC24 Port Power the GRO using an available DC24 connection in your Apex ecosystem (on Energy Bar 832 or 1LINK module).Operates As A Standalone Light As Well If you do not have an available DC24 port, or you wish to use the GRO without an Apex, a power supply is available so it will operate standalone. Two Mounting Options An available gooseneck mount comes in two models: A traditional clamp style mount to attach it to the edge of your sump. And a unique pipe-clamp mount to attach it to your existing plumbing above or behind your sump. Features Compact LED grow light with 84 LEDs in four colors, two key spectrum ranges for optimal macroalgae growth Large, flat area of illumination promotes better growth as it creates a much more even spread than single, spotlight-style lights. Distributed LED design means no light hotspots that can burn the macroalgae Less light spillage - IP64 water resistance means it can be placed very close to water - reducing the growth of nuisance algae elsewhere Two focused wavelength bands (455-460nm and 620-670nm) for maximum algae photosynthesis Covers a refugium area up to 18"x24" Plugs directly into DC24 connection on an EnergyBar832 or a 1Link module. Dimensions: 8.7" x 6.1" x 1.4" (light panel itself less than 1" high) Works with any Apex model, including the Apex Classic family. Operates standalone, without an Apex, with the purchase of an optionally available power supply. Mounts using the optionally available, flexible gooseneck, with one of two clamp styles What's Included GRO LED Light Flexible gooseneck mount Pipe clamp mounting bracket Power supply is NOT included - You will need the Neptune PS-DC24 (Power Supply for 24V Devices) if you wish to operate this as a stand-alone unit.

Neptune Lunar Simulator Module - LSM

    1 review

    In Stock

Neptune Lunar Simulator Module - LSM Overview Moonlight in the ocean is believed to be as significant as the time spent in full daylight. Moonlight triggers various internal and external biological activities among the many thousands of reef organisms. Many corals continue to grow under moonlight conditions and for some fish and coral it is important for the reproductive process. Also, night predators come out and cruise, while prey go into hiding. The other benefit of moonlights is that it extends the time you can enjoy your aquarium and in a totally different way. We all like to go to our tank with a flashlight and see what's going on, but it can often startle many creatures and send them into hiding. With a moonlight, your tank has just enough light for you to see many of the fascinating things going on in the aquarium after the main lights go down. With the Apex and the LSM - Lunar Simulator Module, you can load in the entire years lunar cycle data and your moonlight LED will dim and brighten according to the true lunar cycle. This has been shown to benefit spawning cycles in some tank organisms. Features High intensity LEDs with a wide angle lens (100+ degrees) to provide the best possible coverage The AquaController dims the LEDs in phase with the true lunar cycle Available with 2 to 5 LEDs Plug and Play. Automatically recognized when installed into the system Two AquaBus connectors for flexible expansion to other modules via AquaBus Upgradable firmware Compatible with all Apex systems Includes with 3' AquaBus cable. Please Note: Lunar LED's are NOT included with this package. They are purchased separately!

Included with each LLS sensor is a clip that allows for the mounting of the sensor to the side of the sump, aquarium or container. You can also mount the LLS sensor to a baffle inside the sump. Once calibrated the LLS is accurate to about two-tenths of an inch. Application The 4" LLS is the smallest of the four sensor offerings. It is the perfect fit for small reservoirs for small sumps, ATO reservoirs and additive containers. The smallest LLS can be a great solution to double check that liquid additions of your additives match your dosing solution over a period of time. For example, if you dosed 250 mL additives over two weeks and you know each inch is 100 mL, then the additive reservoir liquid level would have decreased exactly by 2.5". Application The components in the head of the LLS are fully encapsulated in epoxy, but the LLS is not intended to be fully submerged. Care should be taken when selecting the proper length of LLS and installing it to ensure that the water level never exceeds the uppermost graduation mark.

  • Special Order Neptune SKY Led Light Neptune Systems SKY Led Light demonstration of light and how it is better than other fixtures

    Neptune SKY Led Light

Neptune SKY Led Light The Neptune SKY is a 200w, LED aquarium light, with patented diffuser technology, that smoothly blends all of its 104 LEDs to create a homogeneous field of coral-health-optimized light - no hotspots, no disco-ball effect, no need to augment it with other lights or add-on diffusers - but best of all, none of the harsh shadowing and fractured spectrum found in most other popular lights.Features Wired or Wireless - You Choose - Connects easily to your Apex with an AquaBus connection OR wirelessly to your Apple or Android mobile device. Standalone or Apex Connected- No Apex necessary! Can be operated independently from an Apex via a wireless connection to your mobile device. Quick, Easy Set-Up - Easily connects to your Apex via an AquaBus cable - and then a quick and easy software setup. Covers 24 x 30in for SPS, More For Other Corals - With its unique light engine design, the SKY will cover an area of 24"x30" for SPS and up to 30"x36" for less light demanding corals. Optimized Spectrum for Growth & Color - The LED on the SKY have been carefully selected to provide the right balance of spectrum that optimizes coral growth and color while at the same time illuminating the aquarium with the look most reefers desire. UV LED Give That Extra Pop - While some may debate the need for UV LED, there is no doubt that UV adds that little extra pop to the look of your reef aquarium. Diffused Light and Shimmer Too! - With its four "Shimz" lenses inserted into the diffusion panel, the SKY brings both worlds together - diffusion and just the right amount of shimmer in your tank. Too much shimmerThen purchase and replace them with the optionally available diffused "Shimz" Two Dedicated, 2-Color Moonlights - The moonlights on the SKY are not just some of the main LED dimmed down, instead they are two discrete, blue and white colored LED that can operate with the phases of the real moon outside or, if you prefer, simply as night lights when your daytime lights are not currently on. Advanced Thermal Management System - The SKY has a robust thermal management system that not only keeps it cool, its lower operating temperature extends the lifetime output of the LED as well as the lifetime of the fixture itself. Nearly Silent - Two fans and a large heat sink make the SKY extremely quiet. With two fans they can spin slower, creating less fan noise. Low Profile and Lightweight - The SKY is just 1.75" tall and weighs about four pounds. Many Mounting Options - The universal four-point mounting system matches that of one of the most popular lights on the market (Radion G1-G5) so you can choose that, or use an optionally available wire hanging kit. SPREAD - Diffused Soft Light EverywhereIn nature corals are minimally shadowed because they get softened light from horizon to horizon due to the diffusion aspect of the atmosphere. For proper coral growth and health, this is something we attempt to accomplish in our reef aquariums. Unfortunately most LED reef lights have a small surface area of light origination that creates dark areas and harsh shadows - sometimes with an altered spectrum. As a reef aquarium matures, this is the main limiting factor for coral growth and health. Many attempt to correct this deficiency by adding light-limiting diffusers, additional fixtures or hodge-podge together a hybrid solution with supplemental lighting strips. The SKY has a large surface area of diffused light at the origin which emulates the horizon to horizon effect of the atmosphere and minimizes shadowing. The SKY alone is all you need to properly light your reef aquarium and provide for the health, growth, and color needs of even the most demanding corals.SPECTRUM - Blended and Uniformly DeliveredDo LED lights grow healthy, colorful coralsOf course. But to be optimal, they must have the right spectral balance of colors, sometimes referred to as "full-spectrum". Also, and more importantly, that light must be blended and spread uniformly over the entire aquarium. All full-spectrum, LED reef aquarium lights mix various discrete LED colors, each one with its own segment of the spectrum, along with whites. Blending all these LED together into homogeneous light is where things get tricky. Some light designs bring all the LED very close together so that they blend at the source. The downside here is this very small area of light origination creates the harshest of shadows. Others spread out LED, hoping to mix the various spectrums of the discrete LED on their way to the aquarium - but this leads to the "disco-ball" or "static" effect we often see in the shadows or on the sand in the aquariums. The SKY has 104 carefully curated LED, split into four controllable channels, spread across a large surface to maximize the area of light origination and minimize shadowing. The SKY uses patented light engine technology that mixes some of the light from all the LED right inside the light panel. That light, along with some of the direct light from the LED, all pass through a carefully selected diffuser panel that evens out all the light while minimally reducing the light output. The result is a well-blended light output that has the same spectrum nearly everywhere in the aquarium, with minimal shadowing and no disco-ball-effect.SIMPLE- Success Without The HassleUp until now setting up an LED reef light for success usually meant trial and error moving color sliders around, asking friends, reading forum posts, and in the end you were basically on your own.Start out simple...With the SKY, we have simplified the entire process from connection, to initial configuration, to ongoing operation. Simply connect the SKY to your Apex, or run it wirelessly connected to your mobile device - no Apex necessary. Then, configure the SKY. Apex Fusion will ask you a series of questions and show you different "looks" for you to choose from - each one curated to provide light spectrum for the growth and health of your corals. From there, simply choose when you want the lights to come on, go off, and that's it! ...Graduate to Pro!Don't think the SKY is just for noobs. There is also access to advanced scheduling features, LED intensity sliders, and an infinite amount of ways to integrate the operation of your SKY with other Apex functions. #ControlFreaks rejoice!APEX-CONNECTED, OF COURSE - But Not Required! The SKY easily joins your Apex ecosystem simply by connecting its integrated AquaBus cable to an available port on one of your modules or the base unit. This makes set up fast and easy. If you have more than one SKY, the included Y-cable can be used to chain them together and still only need one AquaBus connection on your Apex. Alternatively, those without an Apex can wirelessly connect to the SKY and operate it wirelessly over BT on their mobile devices.ADVANCED THERMAL MANAGEMENT - Quiet and EffectiveThe SKY has an advanced approach to thermal management that is more than just the two fans you see. So, why two fansWith two fans the SKY can operate at much lower RPM while keeping the LED cooler. Cooler LEDs mean a longer lifespan for your light. Also, running the fans slower means that the SKY is quieter, in fact, it's the quietest actively-cooled LED in its power-class. The SKY puts out just 33dB at one meter and set to 100%. The leading competitor clocks in at >40dB at 100% power. Along with these fans a temperature and power monitoring algorithm manages their speed. If one fan were to fail, the other would pick up the slack and still keep the SKY running and safely cooled until a replacement is obtained. Also, if for some other reason the SKY cannot adequately cool itself (such as in the event of excessively high ambient air temperature) it will throttle the power to the LED to keep them safely cool.MORE MOUNTING OPTIONSMany lights on the market force you into purchasing their mounting solution. We decided to broaden your options by adopting a standard already widely used by one of the most popular brands on the market. So, in addition to our optional, sleek black cable hanging kit, you now have many other ways to mount your SKY over your aquarium. This also makes the SKY an even more cost effective option when considering a lighting upgrade. On top of this, we are working closely with 3rd parties to build even more mounting options for our SKY customers.SHIMMER IS A PERSONAL CHOICEAs equipped, and with surface water agitation, the SKY provides a gentle shimmer that suits the tastes of most aquarists. We realized early in the SKY development that when you put a diffuser in front of LED, as many lights do, it tends to kill off nearly ALL shimmer. And that's not good. So we designed a hybrid diffuser that has clear covers, called Shimz, over four openings in the diffuser where the white LED can shine through with no diffusion. These white LED then bring back the shimmer lost by the diffuser - but in just the right amount. Since everyone has different taste, we also created a second option for those who wish to have even less shimmer-- the Diffused Shimz-- which can be easily swapped in to replace the Clear Shimz installed on your SKY Light.TWO DEDICATED MOONLIGHTSWe call it the SKY for one more reason. The moonlit sky is very important to coral reef health and its natural processes. For aquarists, moonlight simulation can play an important role for the animals, and it provides visual interest in the aquarium as well. The SKY provides moonlight via four dedicated moonlight LED in two colors. These LED will change intensity following the earth's current moon cycle. Alternatively, you can set them to night-light mode and they will simply come on opposite your daylight settings. We created dedicated LED because dimming the main LED alone is still just too bright to be an effective moon simulation. Doing it this way allows for a proper range of up and down intensity for emulating the brightness of the varying phases of the moon. The two colors on each moonlight give you some options for how you want the moon to shine. Each pair of LED has its own Shimz fitted in front of it so you get that beautiful night time moon-shimmer all across your reef. POWER SUPPLIES MATTERWe spared no expense when it comes to the power supply included with the SKY. This industry-trusted, 219W Meanwell power supply is UL rated and has a locking connector for a secure interface to your SKY.THE ONLY LIGHT YOU NEED TO BUY FOR YOUR REEF!The SKY is not inexpensive. For sure. But please take a moment to hear us out on this one. As reefers ourselves, we have for nearly a decade been bothered seeing revision after revision of lights, year after year, as companies effectively use their customers as test subjects to evolve their reef lighting designs. Even after all this evolution, they still under-perform so much that customers are forced to buy more lights than they should, or they Frankenstein together hybrid solutions to make up for the inability of these lights to adequately cover a reef aquarium. It is for this reason we have spent a number of years and a great deal of development perfecting the SKY - a lighting solution that we believe will be the only one you will need over your tank, with fewer fixtures, and no supplementation whatsoever. • Neptune Liquid Level Sensor (LLS) 35 Inch. For all Apex aquarium controllers. Apex Fusion display showing Neptune LLS

Neptune Liquid Level Sensor - 35 Inch

    In Stock

Neptune Liquid Level Sensor - 35 Inch Overview The Neptune LLS Sensors for your Apex controller allow for the measurement of water depth in inches or centimeters. Application The largest of the LLS sensors is the 35" sensor. This sensor is to be used for large reservoirs that are often utilized for saltwater reservoirs for manual and automatic water changes. Application The components in the head of the LLS are fully encapsulated in epoxy, but the LLS is not intended to be fully submerged. Care should be taken when selecting the proper length of LLS and installing it to ensure that the water level never exceeds the uppermost graduation mark.
