Most Losses Are Jumpers

Wrasses, gobies, blennies and anthias all jump, and they usually do it once — on a day the lid was off. A screen top is the cheapest insurance in the hobby, and modern mesh is fine enough to stop fish while passing most of the light your corals need.

Kits, Custom Builds and Spares

Complete cover kits — pre-sized frames with mesh, in standard tank footprints.
DIY net covers — profile, mesh and spline sold by length so you can build to any footprint, including rimless.
Cut-out sets and feeding portals — pre-made openings for overflow boxes, returns, powerheads and feeding without lifting the lid.
Spares — replacement netting, splines, spline rollers, brace bars and hangers.

Measure the outside of the rim, not the glass, and allow for anything that breaks the plane — overflow boxes, return pipes and light mounts all need a cut-out. Questions on sizing? Email sales@jlaquatics.com.

J&L Aquatics was formed in December 1997

Our business was started from our love of the aquarium hobby. We at J&L Aquatics felt that the Canadian aquarist should have the option to purchase top quality supplies, equipment and livestock other than the generally over priced local retail stores.
