Collection: EcoTech Marine Pumps

EcoTech Marine's two pump lines: VorTech propeller pumps for flow inside the display (MP10, MP40 and MP60) and Vectra DC pumps for returns and external plumbing (S2, M2 and L2). Replacement wet sides, dry sides, drivers, power supplies and foam keep existing VorTechs going, Vectra barb, screen and coupling kits handle the plumbing, and the Battery Backup Booster is there for power outages.

VorTech or Vectra

A VorTech mounts magnetically through the glass, with the motor outside the tank and only the wet side in the water. That makes it a circulation pump, not a return pump. A Vectra is a controllable DC pump built for return duty, closed loops and running reactors.

Sizing the VorTech

MP10 — nano and small reef tanks.
MP40 — the usual choice for mid-size reefs.
MP60 — large tanks that need heavy flow.

Spare parts

Each part of a VorTech is sold on its own: wet side, dry side, driver, power supply and replacement foam for the MP10 and MP40. Parts are model-specific, so check the model on your driver label before ordering.

J&L Aquatics was formed in December 1997

Our business was started from our love of the aquarium hobby. We at J&L Aquatics felt that the Canadian aquarist should have the option to purchase top quality supplies, equipment and livestock other than the generally over priced local retail stores.
