Aqua Ultraviolet

Aqua Ultraviolet units are listed here in three ranges. Advantage covers the 8 and 15 watt units and includes two hanger versions. Classic covers 25 and 57 watts. The Twist is listed at 57 watts with a wiper. Alongside the units sit the parts that keep one running: replacement bulbs and quartz sleeve and gasket sets at 8, 15, 25 and 57 watts, plus a mounting bracket. Parts are listed by range and wattage together, with the Advantage parts at 8 and 15 watts and the Classic parts at 25 and 57. Read the range name and the wattage off the unit before ordering a bulb or a sleeve.

The three ranges

Advantage, Classic and Twist are the three names in the Aqua UV listing. Advantage covers the smaller units at 8 and 15 watts and appears in standard and hanger versions. Classic covers 25 and 57 watts. The Twist is listed at 57 watts with a wiper. The wattage figure is the quickest way to tell the ranges apart here, since no two of them share one.

Units and mounting

  • 8 and 15 watt units sit in the Advantage range, in standard and hanger versions.
  • 25 and 57 watt units sit in the Classic range.
  • A mounting bracket is listed on its own for fixing a unit in place.

Bulbs, sleeves and gaskets

A UV unit is a serviceable item. The lamp is a consumable and the quartz sleeve around it is a wear part, and both are listed here as replacements: bulbs at 8, 15, 25 and 57 watts, and quartz sleeve and gasket sets at the same four figures. Each part belongs to one range and one wattage, so identify the unit by both before ordering. The wattage is marked on the unit itself rather than on a bulb once it is fitted, which is the place to check it.
