Aqua UV Classic UV Sterilizer - 25 Watt
Aqua UV Classic UV Sterilizer - 25 Watt is a durable in-line ultraviolet sterilizer for aquariums, ponds, and water features that need reliable UV treatment for water clarity, green-water control, and free-floating microorganism reduction.
Aqua UV Classic 25 Watt In-Line UV Sterilizer for Aquariums and Ponds
The Classic 25 Watt model is built for stronger in-line UV performance than the compact Advantage units. It is designed for properly plumbed filtration loops where the UV can be matched to the correct flow rate for freshwater, saltwater, reef, fish-only, pond, or water-feature applications.
Classic 25 Watt Green Water Clarification and Sterilization Features
- In-line Classic Series UV sterilizer for aquariums, ponds, and water features.
- Helps control free-floating algae, bacteria, protozoa, and microorganisms that pass through the chamber.
- Can be used as a sterilizer or clarifier depending on system size and flow rate.
- Physical UV treatment does not chemically alter aquarium or pond water.
- Useful for larger freshwater systems, saltwater aquariums, and pond clarity support.
- Designed for serviceable plumbing installations with access to the lamp and quartz sleeve.
- UV dosage flow values are calculated at end of lamp life for practical sizing.

Classic 25 Watt Plumbing Position and UV Dose Selection
Install after mechanical filtration whenever possible so particles do not shield microorganisms from the UV lamp. Use lower dosage targets for reef water clarity support and higher dosage targets for marine fish systems where stronger sterilization is the goal. UV only affects water that passes through the chamber, so plumbing layout and real flow rate matter.
Aqua UV Classic 25 Watt Installation and Lamp Maintenance
- Plan the plumbing route and support the UV body before connecting fittings.
- Install the unit after filtration whenever practical.
- Use appropriate fittings and avoid twisting stress on the UV housing.
- Set actual flow rate for the desired UV dose and aquarium or pond application.
- Do not run the lamp without water flow through the chamber.
- Turn the unit off if the chamber is drained or stagnant for more than 30 minutes.
- Replace the UV lamp after 14 months of continuous use.
