The Bit That Keeps Media Where You Put It

Loose media in a filter chamber migrates, clogs impellers and makes changeovers messy. A mesh bag contains it, lets you lift a whole charge out in one movement, and means you can run several media types side by side without them mixing.

Mesh Size and Fit

• Fine mesh — for granular media like carbon and resins that would otherwise wash through.
• Coarser mesh — for larger media such as ceramic bio spheres, where flow matters more than containment.
• Drawstring and zip closures — reusable bags you can empty, rinse and refill.

Leave room in the bag rather than packing it tight — water has to flow through the media, not around it. Rinse bags in old tank water between changes, and replace them once the mesh clogs or tears. Questions? Email info@jlaquatics.com.
