MarinePure Gems - 90 Gram
Overview
MarinePure is the perfect place for beneficial bacteria to flourish in order to remove harmful fish wastes. It will eliminate ammonia and nitrites and lower nitrates.
MarinePure's bio-media is the most technically advanced bio-media available today.
Features
A Combination of vast surface area and open/interconnected pores allow a thin bio-film to develop. This thin film allows bacteria to flourish because necessary nutrients are immediately available. With the open pores, old dead bio-film is easily flushed from the media and will not plug the media. Water flows through the media, not around as with other denser medias, thus utilizing the most surface area for beneficial bacterial growth.
Benefits
Better value due to high performance
Reduced tank maintenance
Allows for higher fish loads
Can use a smaller filtration footprint
More consistent water chemistry
Spheres are Easy to shape
MarinePure is inert and will not harm aquarium inhabitants.
Application
Used in tank or in sumpsUsed in canister and DIY filtersUsed in trickle, shower, or waterfall filtersUsed in hang on back filtersSpecifications
Contents: 90 Grams of approximately 3/4" diameter cubes.
Surface Area: 135 sq. meters (1,450sq. ft) per 90 grams
How to Use MarinePure Filter Media
Rinse new media under tap water to remove any loose particles. Rinse again with tank water to remove any chlorine from tap water. Locate media in sump, under gravel bed, as part of a reef structure, or place directly in water flow.
Matrix is a high porosity biomedia that provides efficient biofiltration for the removal of nitrogenous waste.Matrix is a porous inorganic solid about 10 mm in diameter. Each liter of Matrix provides as much surface (>~700 m2) as 170 liters of plastic balls! Plastic bio-materials provide only external surface area, whereas Matrix provides both external and internal macroporous surface area. These macropores are ideally sized for the support of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria. This allows Matrix, unlike other forms of biomedia, to remove nitrate along with ammonia and nitrite, simultaneously and in the same filter.Matrix is completely inert and will not breakdown. It need not be replaced. Since the majority of the bacteria are internal, Matrix may be rinsed when needed without damaging the filter. Matrix is compatible with all types of wet or wet-dry filters.

Instructions
Rinse media before use. Media can be placed directly into the aquarium, reef sump, canister filter, wet/dry filter, or hang-on-back filter. The included bag helps keep media contained within the filter. For best results, seed the media with your choice of bacteria culture by soaking overnight before adding it to the aquarium. For optimal results, rinse the media with tank water and gently scrub the surface debris every 12 months. Replace media every 5 years or as needed. Add additional media to increase the biological capacity of a filter system. CAUTION - NEVER CLEAN/REPLACE MEDIA ALL AT ONCE

Maxspect Nano-Tech Anaerobic Catalyst - 5 Pack
Overview
The Maxspect Nano-Tech Anaerobic-Blocks efficiently removes nitrates from fresh and marine aquariums. This proprietary technology is specifically designed to stimulate the growth of anaerobic bacteria which completes the nitrification cycle essentially breaking down nitrates into the form of nitrogen gas.
The Nano-Ceramic beads in the Anaerobic Blocks are specially treated to excel at establishing anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria which strives in anoxic environments. The porous structure is the ideal living condition and environment for bacterial colonies, and will not decompose or become brittle.
Each package contains 5 catalysts. How To Use
Place directly in the sump, stack two Anaerobic Blocks on top of each other, and place a Denitrification Catalyst in between the blocks as illustrated above.
The Denitrification Catalyst should be replaced every two months. The Anaerobic-Block should be cleaned or replaced every six months for optimal results. However, it is suggested to only clean or replace half of the Anaerobic-Block so that bacterial colonies remain and established themselves on the new or recently cleaned blocks.
