Varios DC return pumps

The Varios line is Reef Octopus' controllable DC return pump range, listed as Varios 2, 4, 6 and 8. Output is adjustable rather than fixed, so a pump can be run below its maximum on a system that does not need everything the motor can give. Larger numbers mean more flow, and the choice comes down to head height and the length of the plumbing run between sump and display.

Ordering the right spare

Aquatrance parts are tied to a specific pump size, and a 1000S impeller does not serve a 2000S. The model code is printed on the pump body or on the skimmer's pump housing - read it there rather than working back from the skimmer model. Several items on this page are special order, which is a normal orderable state: the order goes in and the part is brought in for you.
