Aqua UV Wiper Saltwater Warranty Warning and Installation Notes
Aqua Ultraviolet does not recommend using wipers with saltwater. Using the wiper in saltwater will void warranty coverage on the wiper parts.
Use the lower 30,000 or 45,000 uW/cm2 flow targets for reef environments and stronger 75,000 or 90,000 uW/cm2 flow targets for marine fish systems without reef or live rock. Install after filtration when possible, leave enough room for the wiper handle, and avoid running the lamp with stagnant or drained water in the UV chamber.
Aqua UV Twist Series 57 Watt Wiper Setup and Lamp Maintenance
- Install the wiper-equipped UV horizontally so the wiper seal remains wet.
- Leave at least 16 inches of clearance for full wiper movement and service access.
- Install after mechanical filtration whenever possible for better UV performance.
- Support the 2 inch plumbing so the UV body is not under bending or twisting stress.
- Set flow to match the desired UV dosage and aquatic application.
- Use the wiper as a maintenance aid, but still inspect and service the quartz sleeve as needed.
- Replace the UV lamp after 14 months of continuous use.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
