Aqua UV Classic UV Sterilizer - 57 Watt
Aqua UV Classic UV Sterilizer - 57 Watt is a high-output in-line ultraviolet sterilizer for larger aquariums, ponds, and water-feature systems that need strong UV treatment with higher flow capacity.
Aqua UV Classic 57 Watt In-Line UV Sterilizer for Larger Water Volumes
The Classic 57 Watt model is built for larger freshwater and saltwater systems where stronger UV capacity is needed. It can be plumbed into aquarium, pond, sump, or filtration-loop installations and tuned by flow rate for reef clarity, freshwater sterilization, pond clarification, or fish-only marine disease-control support.
Classic 57 Watt High-Flow UV Treatment Features
- 57 Watt Classic Series ultraviolet sterilizer for larger aquatic systems.
- Helps reduce free-floating algae, bacteria, protozoa, and microorganisms that pass through the chamber.
- Useful for large freshwater aquariums, ponds, saltwater systems, and water features.
- Can function as a clarifier or sterilizer depending on flow rate and system sizing.
- Physical UV process leaves no chemical residue and does not change pH or water chemistry.
- Higher flow capacity makes it better suited to larger installations than compact UV units.
- Serviceable in-line design supports routine lamp and quartz sleeve maintenance.

Classic 57 Watt Reef Aquarium and Pond Flow Matching
Match the Classic 57 Watt to the actual water volume and pump flow after head loss. For reef environments, 30,000 or 45,000 uW/cm2 flow rates are the gentler clarity-focused targets. For marine fish systems without reef or live rock, 75,000 or 90,000 uW/cm2 flow rates provide stronger disease-control exposure.
Aqua UV Classic 57 Watt Plumbing and Lamp Maintenance
- Confirm the UV is correctly sized for the aquarium, pond, or water feature.
- Install the unit in-line after mechanical filtration whenever possible.
- Support the housing and plumbing so fittings are not under strain.
- Adjust flow to match the desired UV dose and system use.
- Do not operate the lamp dry or without active water flow.
- Turn the UV off if water will be stagnant inside the chamber for more than 30 minutes.
- Replace the UV lamp after 14 months of continuous operation.
