Aqua UV Advantage 2000+ UV Sterilizer - 15 Watt
Aqua UV Advantage 2000+ UV Sterilizer - 15 Watt is a compact in-line ultraviolet sterilizer with barb x barb plumbing for aquariums and small aquatic systems that need controlled UV treatment through tubing-based filtration.
Aqua UV Advantage 2000+ 15 Watt In-Line UV Sterilizer for Filter Plumbing
The Advantage 2000+ 15 Watt barb x barb unit is designed for aquarists who want an in-line UV sterilizer rather than a hang-on model. It connects into tubing-based plumbing and treats water as it passes through the chamber, helping improve clarity and reduce free-floating algae, bacteria, and protozoa.
Advantage 2000+ 15 Watt Barb x Barb UV Filtration Features
- Compact in-line UV sterilizer for tubing-based aquarium and small pond plumbing.
- Barb x barb connection style is suited to flexible hose installations.
- Helps clear green water and reduce microorganisms that pass through the UV chamber.
- Can be used in freshwater and saltwater systems when properly sized.
- Physical UV process does not add chemicals or leave residual treatments in the water.
- Useful after canister filters, return loops, or dedicated UV feed pumps.
- Flow-rate guidance allows the unit to be tuned for reef, freshwater, or fish-only marine use.

Use 30,000 or 45,000 uW/cm2 flow targets for reef environments where planktonic food preservation matters. Use 75,000 or 90,000 uW/cm2 targets for stronger marine fish disease-control applications in systems without reef or live rock. The same wattage can behave very differently depending on actual flow through the unit.
Aqua UV Advantage 2000+ 15 Watt In-Line Setup and Lamp Care

- Install the UV after mechanical filtration whenever possible.
- Secure all hose connections and check carefully for leaks before normal operation.
- Adjust pump or valve flow to match the intended UV dosage.
- Do not operate the UV lamp without water flowing through the chamber.
- Turn the unit off if the chamber will sit drained or stagnant for more than 30 minutes.
