Product Description
Neptune Apex FMM Solid Surface Leak Probe
Neptune Apex FMM Solid Surface Leak Probe is a weighted leak detection probe for use with the Neptune FMM Fluid Monitoring Module, designed to detect stray water on hard surfaces around aquarium equipment.
Solid Surface Leak Detection for Aquarium Protection
The LD-2 probe is intended for open hard surfaces where water may appear during a leak, overflow, loose fitting, sump issue, or equipment failure. It can be placed inside or outside an aquarium stand to help detect water early and trigger Apex alerts or configured safety actions.
Neptune LD-2 Leak Probe Features
- Leak detection probe for solid surfaces
- Weighted body helps the probe stay flat against the surface being monitored
- Connects to the Neptune FMM Fluid Monitoring Module
- Communicates leak detection status to a compatible Apex system
- Can trigger Apex Fusion alerts and programmed control actions when water is detected
- Useful under stands, near sumps, beside reservoirs, around RODI systems, and near plumbing connections
- 5 metre cable supports flexible placement around the aquarium area
LD-2 Probe Specifications
- Product type: Solid surface leak detection probe
- Model type: LD-2
- Connection: Neptune FMM accessory connection
- Cable length: 5 metres
- Application: Leak detection on solid surfaces
- Required module: Neptune FMM Fluid Monitoring Module
- Apex compatibility: Requires compatible Apex system through FMM
Compatibility and Placement Notes
The LD-2 works only with the Neptune FMM and cannot be used with the ALD module. Place the probe where water is likely to appear early during a leak, such as below plumbing unions, under sump edges, near external pumps, or on the floor inside and outside the stand. For carpeted areas, use the LD-1 under-carpet probe instead.
Setup Directions
Plug the probe into an available FMM port, place it flat on the surface being monitored, and configure the FMM port as a leak detection input in Apex Fusion. Test the probe with a small controlled amount of water, confirm the Apex alert or action works correctly, then dry the probe completely before regular use.
