The COR-15 is built for aquarists who want their return pump integrated directly into the Apex ecosystem. Instead of running as a basic fixed-output pump, the COR-15 connects through an available 1LINK port and allows flow control, feed modes, alerts, pump status, and operational feedback to be managed through Apex Fusion.

With up to 1,500 GPH of flow, quiet brushless DC operation, included plumbing fittings, and intelligent protection features, the COR-15 is a strong choice for medium-sized reef systems, display returns, manifold-fed filtration, and Apex-controlled aquarium builds where reliability and visibility matter.

Apex Control and Protection Benefits

The COR-15 becomes especially powerful when used as part of a full Apex-controlled aquarium. Flow can be adjusted for normal operation, feeding, maintenance, emergency routines, and equipment coordination. It can also be integrated into broader Apex logic so the return pump responds appropriately to feed cycles, alarms, water-level conditions, maintenance modes, or other system events.

Plumbing and Compatibility Notes

The COR-15 is designed to work best when plumbed with the least practical restriction. The included 1.25" union can help reduce head loss compared with smaller outlet plumbing, while the included 1.0" and 0.75" slip fittings support more common aquarium return-line setups. Final flow will depend on plumbing diameter, vertical head height, elbows, valves, manifolds, return nozzles, and other restrictions.

The COR-15 requires a compatible Apex system with an available 1LINK port and is not intended as a stand-alone pump. Basic plumbing knowledge, pipe, hose, fittings, valves, and other installation parts may be required depending on the aquarium layout.

Setup Directions

Install the COR-15 internally or externally according to the aquarium plumbing plan, using appropriately sized pipe, hose, fittings, unions, and valves. Connect the pump to the COR-15 driver, connect the driver to a compatible 1LINK port, then complete the Apex Fusion setup task. Confirm flow direction, check every plumbing joint for leaks, set IQ-Level, test feed mode, and verify alerts before relying on the pump for regular system circulation.
