Product Description
Neptune ORP Probe
Neptune ORP Probe is a double-junction oxidation-reduction potential probe for compatible Neptune Apex aquarium controller systems.
ORP Monitoring for Apex Aquariums
ORP monitoring gives aquarists another way to observe overall water-condition trends. It can be useful for identifying changes related to organic load, ozone operation, biological activity, maintenance, feeding, and system stability when interpreted alongside other aquarium parameters.
Neptune ORP Probe Features
- Double-junction ORP probe for compatible Neptune Apex systems
- Useful as a replacement ORP probe or for adding ORP monitoring through a compatible PM1 module
- Supports continuous ORP trend monitoring through the Apex system
- Can be used in reef, saltwater, freshwater, and advanced aquarium monitoring setups where compatible
- Double-junction design supports longer service life than single-junction lab-grade probes
- Useful for aquariums using ozone or for systems where oxidation-reduction trends are being monitored
- Integrates with Apex alerts and data logging through compatible hardware
ORP Probe Specifications
- Product type: ORP probe
- Probe type: Double junction
- Measurement use: Oxidation-reduction potential monitoring
- Compatibility: Compatible Apex ORP port or PM1 module where supported
- Replacement guidance: Double-junction lab-grade ORP probes are typically replaced around 24 months
- Common applications: ORP monitoring, ozone system oversight, water-condition trend tracking, and advanced controller setups
Compatibility and Use Notes
This probe requires a compatible Apex ORP input or a compatible PM1 module. ORP should be treated as a trend and control parameter, not a single-number judgment of aquarium health. Readings can be affected by probe condition, calibration, placement, organic load, ozone use, and overall system activity.
Setup Directions
Connect the probe to the compatible ORP input, place it in a stable high-flow area, and allow the reading to stabilize before setting alerts or control logic. Keep the probe tip clean, avoid letting it dry out, and replace the probe when readings become unstable or service life is reached.
