EcoTech Marine's flow hardware in one place, covering both sides of the range. VorTech QD powerheads run MP10wQD, MP40wQD and MP60wQD, mounted through the glass with the motor outside the tank. Vectra DC return pumps come as S2, M2 and L2. VorTech and Vectra do different jobs

VorTech units are powerheads: they sit on the display glass and move water inside the tank, with the motor on the dry side and only the wet side in the water. Vectra pumps are return and utility pumps, running in or beside a sump to push water back up to the display or through equipment. A reef commonly uses both, and this collection carries the two lines together because EcoTech shares controllers and accessories across them.

Parts and upgrades

Wet sides and dry side assemblies replace half a VorTech rather than the whole unit.
Replacement drivers and power supplies are model and QD-generation specific.
Replacement foam is a service item on VorTech wet sides.
Barb and screen kits fit Vectra S2 and M2 for hose connections.
The Mobius RF module adds app control to compatible existing units.

Ordering the right part

EcoTech has run several hardware generations, and QD models take different parts from earlier versions. Check the model badge on your pump or driver before ordering a driver, power supply or wet side, since the sizes look similar and the fit is not universal. A battery backup booster is worth considering on any tank where the return or powerhead stopping for a few hours would be a problem.
