Everything to Frag and Mount Corals

Propagating corals — cutting a colony and mounting the pieces to grow out — is how reefers trade, sell, and expand their tanks. Doing it cleanly takes the right glue, a solid base to mount onto, and a dip to keep pests off your display. We stock fragging gear from Seachem, Oceans Wonders, PolypLab, Coral Rx, and BSI.

What You'll Need

  • Frag glue — cyanoacrylate (super glue) gels that bond frags to plugs fast.
  • Epoxy & putty — two-part epoxy for larger pieces and aquascaping joins.
  • Plugs, discs & tiles — ceramic and reef-safe bases to mount frags onto.
  • Coral dips — pest and parasite dips to quarantine new or cut corals.
  • Tools & racks — bone cutters, blades, and magnetic frag racks to hold pieces while they heal.

Always dip new and freshly cut corals before adding them — it's the cheapest insurance against introducing flatworms or nudibranchs to your reef. Email info@jlaquatics.com for guidance. J&L has supplied Canadian reefkeepers since 1997.

J&L Aquatics was formed in December 1997

Our business was started from our love of the aquarium hobby. We at J&L Aquatics felt that the Canadian aquarist should have the option to purchase top quality supplies, equipment and livestock other than the generally over priced local retail stores.
