IceCap Gyre 4K Pump Only
The IceCap Gyre 4K Pump Only is the pump-only version of the high-output IceCap 4K gyre flow pump for aquariums from 25 to 150+ gallons. It is designed for aquarists adding a 4K pump to an existing compatible IceCap or HYDROS-controlled flow system, or replacing a pump body without purchasing a full controller bundle.
IceCap 4K Pump Only Overview
The 4K Gyre Pump Only provides the larger IceCap gyre pump hardware for systems that already have the required pump control equipment. Its 4,000 GPH maximum output is intended for larger aquariums that need strong horizontal circulation, improved surface movement, better detritus suspension, or wider flow coverage through reef structures and open swimming areas.
Because this is a pump-only item, it is especially useful for expanding a dual-pump WaveEngine or WaveEngine LE installation, replacing an existing 4K pump, or adding more directional flow control to a system already built around the HYDROS platform. The pump-only format avoids buying another full controller package when the control system is already in place.

4K Pump Only Compatibility Notes
Not a complete controller kit: The IceCap Gyre 4K Pump Only is intended for users who already have compatible pump control equipment. When connecting this pump to a HYDROS WaveEngine or WaveEngine LE, the appropriate HYDROS IceCap Gyre WaveEngine pump adapter is required and is not included with the pump-only item.
Size for the aquarium carefully: The 4K is powerful and should be used where its output can be managed properly. Large reef tanks, long aquariums, and SPS systems may benefit from the stronger flow, while smaller tanks, delicate livestock, loose sand, or low-flow corals may need the lower-speed range or the smaller 2K pump instead.

Setting Up the IceCap 4K Pump Only
Connect the pump to the compatible controller or HYDROS system using the correct adapter and connection method, mount it securely on compatible aquarium glass or acrylic, and begin with conservative speed limits. Observe the aquarium's circulation pattern, livestock response, and sand movement before increasing output. During maintenance, remove buildup from the cages, rotors, propellers, and magnet mount to help preserve strong flow and quiet operation.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
