Brightwell Aquatics Phosphat-E - 500ml
Brightwell Aquatics Phosphat-E - 500ml is a liquid reactive phosphate remover for marine fish and reef aquariums. It begins reducing reactive phosphate immediately after dosing and helps support better nutrient control in heavily stocked or nutrient-rich saltwater systems.
Brightwell Phosphat-E 500ml Liquid Phosphate Control for Marine Aquariums
Phosphat-E is designed for aquariums where phosphate needs to be lowered directly without relying only on passive filtration media. It binds reactive phosphate into an inert particulate that can be removed by mechanical filtration and protein skimming, helping reduce the nutrient availability that can contribute to nuisance algae issues.
Phosphat-E Reef Aquarium Phosphate Removal Features
- Begins eliminating reactive phosphate immediately after addition to the aquarium.
- Suitable for marine fish-only and reef aquariums when used as directed.
- Helps facilitate phosphate removal when dissolved organic material is abundant.
- May be used on an ongoing basis to help control phosphate in heavily stocked systems.
- Each 1 ml eliminates 1 ppm phosphate in 4 US gallons of water.
- Over 50% stronger than many competing phosphate removal products.
Brightwell Phosphat-E 500ml Testing and Filtration Notes
- Size: 500 ml bottle.
- Use: Marine fish and reef aquariums.
- Product type: Liquid reactive phosphate remover.
- 500 ml treats up to 2,000 US gallons at the overview strength rate.
- Temporary cloudiness may occur as phosphate is bound into inert particulate.
- Phosphate test kits may temporarily show elevated or false-positive results until bound phosphate is removed by filtration.
- Ingredients: Purified water and proprietary phosphate removers.
Phosphat-E Dosing Directions for Saltwater Systems
Test phosphate with an accurate test kit before use. Add Phosphat-E near the intake of a mechanical filter or protein skimmer so the bound phosphate particulate can be removed efficiently. Brightwell's basic technical guidance is 2.5 ml per 20 US gallons daily to remove 0.5 ppm phosphate. Do not exceed 0.5 ml per 4 US gallons daily. If corals or other invertebrates react negatively, phosphate may be dropping too quickly; reduce the dose by 50% and continue more gradually. Avoid sudden phosphate reductions in aquariums that have been elevated for several weeks.
