Product Description
Brightwell Aquatics NeoPhos 5x - 500ml
Brightwell Aquatics NeoPhos 5x - 500ml is a professional-strength phosphorus source for phosphorus-limited, low-nutrient reef aquariums. It is positioned as 5 times stronger than standard NeoPhos for advanced nutrient management.
Brightwell NeoPhos 5X Professional Phosphorus Source for Reef Aquariums
NeoPhos 5x is intended for experienced aquarists managing ultra-low nutrient reef systems where phosphorus availability is limiting microbial uptake and coral health. Its concentrated strength makes careful testing, slow adjustment, and current bottle-based dosing essential.
NeoPhos 5X 500ml Phosphate Balancing Features
- Professional-strength phosphorus source for phosphorus-limited reef aquariums.
- 5 times as powerful as standard NeoPhos according to the current J&L product listing.
- Helps enable natural nitrogen uptake when phosphorus is inadequate.
- Recommended for advanced reef aquarists maintaining ultra-low nutrient systems.
- Can be used with MicroBacter7, Reef BioFuel or Katalyst, and NeoNitro as part of nutrient balancing.
- Helps raise phosphorus availability without relying on excess organic waste inputs.
Brightwell NeoPhos 5X Strength and Testing Notes
- Size: 500 ml bottle.
- Use: Advanced low-nutrient marine and reef aquariums.
- Product type: Concentrated phosphorus supplement.
- Strength note: Verify the treatment information on the current bottle before dosing.
- Brightwell's base NeoPhos guidance targets approximately 0.02 ppm phosphate initially.
- Do not overdose or dose without accurate phosphate and nitrate testing.
- Keep out of reach of children and do not use for human consumption.
NeoPhos 5X Dosing Directions for Advanced Nutrient Control
Shake well before use. Test phosphate and nitrate before dosing and follow the treatment rate printed on the current NeoPhos 5x bottle. Dose conservatively to raise phosphate gradually, then wait 24 hours and re-test phosphate and nitrate before making additional adjustments. If phosphate rises and does not gradually decrease as nitrate is taken up, the system may be carbon-limited and may require an appropriate carbon source such as Reef BioFuel or Katalyst. Do not use the standard NeoPhos dose unless it matches the strength information on the 5x bottle.
