Product Description
Brightwell Aquatics Ferrion - 500ml
Brightwell Aquatics Ferrion - 500ml is a concentrated iron supplement for marine fish and reef aquariums containing photosynthetic corals, clams, macroalgae, coralline algae, mangroves, marsh grasses, and other desirable marine plants or algae.
Brightwell Ferrion Iron Supplement for Refugiums and Reef Systems
Iron availability can become a limiting factor for photosynthetic organisms in marine aquariums, especially systems with refugiums, macroalgae, mud filtration, mangroves, or heavy growth of desirable algae. Ferrion provides a stable iron source for measured supplementation when testing shows iron is being depleted.
Ferrion 500ml Marine Iron Support Features
- Highly concentrated and stable iron solution for marine and reef aquariums.
- Supports macroalgae, coralline algae, mangroves, marsh grasses, and other desirable marine plants and algae.
- Useful for aquariums with refugiums or mud systems.
- Can support photosynthetic organisms when iron is a limiting nutrient.
- Made with purified water and high-purity materials.
- Designed for controlled use with iron and phosphate testing.
Brightwell Ferrion Strength and Phosphate Notes
- Size: 500 ml bottle.
- Use: Marine fish and reef aquariums.
- Product type: Chelated iron supplement.
- Guaranteed analysis: Iron 0.40% minimum as chelated iron, 4,000 ppm.
- Ingredient: Purified water and sodium feredetate.
- Target iron range: 0.05 to 0.10 ppm.
- Brightwell advises keeping phosphate near immeasurable levels and not exceeding 0.05 ppm when dosing iron.
Ferrion Dosing Directions for Marine Aquariums
Shake well before use. Basic dosage is 5 ml or 1 capful per 50 US gallons every other day, or as needed to maintain iron between 0.05 and 0.10 ppm. Test iron with an accurate test kit before advanced dosing. Each 1 ml of Ferrion increases iron in 1 US gallon by 1 ppm. If iron is below 0.10 ppm, do not exceed 10 ml per 20 US gallons daily while raising the concentration. Maintain iron stability within approximately +/-0.02 ppm and reduce dosing if nuisance algae appears or phosphate is elevated.
