Brightwell Aquatics Chaetogro - 250ml is a phosphate-free and nitrate-free multi-nutrient supplement formulated for Chaetomorpha and other desirable marine macroalgae. It provides iron, potassium, cobalt, molybdenum, and additional elements that can become depleted in refugiums and macroalgae-based nutrient export systems.
Brightwell Chaetogro Refugium Supplement for Chaetomorpha Growth
Chaetogro helps establish water chemistry that supports long-term Chaetomorpha health and growth. In a reef aquarium refugium, healthy macroalgae growth is important because Chaetomorpha can help export nitrate and phosphate when light, flow, carbon availability, and baseline nutrient levels are all in suitable ranges.

- Guaranteed analysis includes soluble potash, boron, carbon, calcium, chlorine, cobalt, iron, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, sulfur, and zinc.
- Chaetomorpha still requires available baseline nutrients; Brightwell recommends at least 0.01 ppm phosphate and 3 to 5 ppm nitrate for proper growth.
- Sources of nutrients include potassium sulfate, calcium chloride, magnesium sulfate, potassium iodide, iron EDTA, zinc sulfate, manganese chloride, sodium tetraborate, cobalt chloride, and sodium molybdate.
Chaetogro Dosing Directions for Reef Refugiums
Shake well before use. For the first two weeks, add 5 ml per 20 US gallons of aquarium volume twice each week, then adjust dosage based on macroalgae appearance and nutrient demand. For daily dosing, add 6 drops per 20 US gallons per day and adjust after one week. If nitrate or phosphate is too low, Chaetomorpha may not grow efficiently even when Chaetogro is dosed. Keep out of reach of children and do not use for human consumption.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
