Aragonite sand buffers a reef's pH; planted aqua soils feed root systems and lower pH for plants and shrimp; porous reef rock becomes home to the bacteria that run your nitrogen cycle. Getting the foundation right makes everything above it easier. We carry substrate and rock from Caribsea, Marco Rocks, Fluval, and Seachem.
