Fertilizing a planted tank

• Flourish – the all-round plant supplement and the base of most dosing routines.
• Flourish Excel – a liquid carbon source for tanks without pressurized CO2, or alongside it.
• Flourish Tabs – pushed into the substrate near heavy root feeders such as swords and crypts.
• Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Iron and Trace – single nutrients for correcting one shortfall at a time.

Setting pH and hardness

Equilibrium adds the minerals plants and fish need in soft or RO water. Alkaline Buffer and Acid Buffer are used together to set pH and KH where you want them, and Neutral Regulator brings water toward 7.0.

Rift lake and blackwater tanks

Malawi/Victoria Buffer, Cichlid Lake Salt and Cichlid Trace recreate the hard, alkaline water of the African rift lakes. At the other end of the scale, Catappa tea bags release tannins that tint the water amber for bettas, tetras and other blackwater species.
