Tunze Turbelle Stream 6105 ORCA MK2 Oscillating Powerhead
The Tunze Turbelle Stream 6105 ORCA MK2 Oscillating Powerhead is a complete high-end reef circulation system that combines the efficient Turbelle Stream 6105 pump with the ORCA MK2 oscillating unit. Instead of pushing water in one fixed direction, the ORCA system moves the pump dynamically and can coordinate flow direction with pump output through app-based control, creating changing water movement that better resembles natural reef surge.
Tunze 6105 ORCA MK2 for Dynamic Reef Flow
This pre-assembled ORCA system is designed for reef aquariums where broad circulation, changing flow angles, and controlled movement are more valuable than simply adding another fixed powerhead. By combining pump rotation with the efficient 6105 stream pump, the system can move water through rockwork, across coral colonies, and around open swimming areas with fewer static dead spots.

ORCA Oscillating Flow and Reef Assistant App Control
- Complete oscillating system: Combines the ORCA MK2 oscillating unit and Turbelle Stream 6105 pump as an integrated plug-and-play flow system.
- Dynamic pump movement: Moves the circulation pump through a controlled rotation instead of leaving flow fixed in one direction.
- App-based precision: Uses the TUNZE app / Reef Assistant app environment for software-controlled flow direction and pump behaviour.
- Angle-dependent flow control: Flow strength can be coordinated with the angle of rotation for more targeted reef circulation scenarios.
- Magnetic encoder: Provides precise position detection so the unit knows pump alignment accurately.
- Waterproof and corrosion-resistant design: Electronics are encapsulated in PU resin and built for demanding marine environments.
- Adjustable carbon tube: Fine height adjustment allows the pump position to be adapted to the aquarium layout.
- Versatile mount: Mounting system is designed for aquarium glass or ledges up to 22 mm thick.
- Efficient 6105 pump core: Delivers up to approximately 12000 L/h while using only 11 W at maximum output.
- Long-term warranty support: Tunze lists the ORCA system with a 5-year warranty.

ORCA MK2 Placement and Programming Notes
- Best application: Reef aquariums where changing directional flow can help reduce dead spots and improve coral water movement.
- Mounting planning: Leave enough clearance for the oscillating movement path before final installation.
- Livestock protection: Aim and program flow so corals receive movement without tissue damage from constant direct blasting.
- Rockwork planning: Use oscillation to sweep flow around rock structures and open channels rather than only across the front glass.
- Service access: Install the unit where the pump and rotating assembly can be inspected and cleaned without dismantling the aquascape.
Tunze 6105 ORCA MK2 Setup Directions
- Choose a mounting location with enough glass thickness support, clearance, and flow path for the oscillating pump movement.
- Mount the ORCA system securely using the included mounting hardware and confirm the pump can rotate without hitting glass, rockwork, coral, or equipment.
- Connect the power supply and app control system following the Tunze ORCA instructions.
- Start with conservative movement angles and pump output before increasing flow intensity.
- Observe coral and fish response over several days and adjust direction, sweep range, and flow strength as needed.
- Inspect the pump intake, propeller housing, rotating assembly, and cable routing regularly.
- Disconnect power before cleaning, servicing, or making physical adjustments to the pump or mount.
