Product Description
Tropica Rotala rotundifolia (Blood Red) 1-2-Grow! Aquarium Plant
Tropica Rotala rotundifolia (Blood Red) 1-2-Grow! Aquarium Plant is a clean tissue culture stem plant supplied in Tropica's sealed 1-2-Grow! cup format. This intense red Rotala variation adds strong colour contrast in planted aquariums and can be used beside light green plants to enhance its vibrant red appearance.
Rotala Blood Red for Intense Red Stem Colour
Rotala rotundifolia 'Blood Red' is described by Tropica as the most intensely red-coloured variation of Rotala rotundifolia. It is easy to grow and can tolerate relatively low light and nutrient conditions, but stronger light and added CO2 are needed for the most intense colour.
Tropica 1-2-Grow! Blood Red Rotala Benefits
Tropica 1-2-Grow! plants are cultivated in a sealed laboratory cup and are ready to divide into smaller portions before planting. The tissue culture format is especially useful for planted aquariums and shrimp tanks because Tropica's 1-2-Grow! range is produced free from snails, algae, and pesticides.

Blood Red Rotala Trimming and Colour Notes
The plant grows erect to slightly arching and produces many branches. Regular trimming helps maintain good light penetration and water flow among the stems, while placement beside bright green plants can make the red colour stand out more strongly.

- Open the sealed 1-2-Grow! cup when you are ready to plant.
- Remove the plant from the cup and rinse away the growing media under tap water.
- Split the plant into small stem portions using your fingers or sharp scissors.
- Plant portions into the substrate with tweezers in a grouped foreground or midground area.
