Tropica Leptodictyum riparium 1-2-Grow! Aquarium Plant
Tropica Leptodictyum riparium 1-2-Grow! Aquarium Plant is a tissue culture aquarium moss supplied in Tropica's sealed 1-2-Grow! cup format. Often called Stringy Moss, Leptodictyum riparium has a slender upright look, an intense slightly transparent green colour, and an easy-growing habit that makes it useful for nano aquariums, brood cover, and unique moss detail.
Leptodictyum riparium Stringy Moss for Nano Aquariums
Leptodictyum riparium is an undemanding moss that tolerates both high and low temperatures. It can adhere to rocks and tree roots in the aquarium and develops vigorous, rapid growth that should be trimmed regularly. Its upright stringy texture gives a different appearance from denser carpeting mosses.
Tropica 1-2-Grow! Stringy Moss Tissue Culture Benefits
Tropica 1-2-Grow! plants are cultivated in a sealed laboratory cup and are ready to divide into smaller portions before planting or attaching. The tissue culture format is especially useful for planted aquariums and shrimp tanks because Tropica's 1-2-Grow! range is produced free from snails, algae, and pesticides.

Stringy Moss Trimming and Cover Notes
Stringy Moss grows vigorously and quickly, so regular trimming is important for keeping the aquascape tidy. It is often used as cover for young fish and as a fine-textured moss option where a more upright and open growth pattern is desired.
Leptodictyum riparium 1-2-Grow! Preparation Directions
- Open the sealed 1-2-Grow! cup when you are ready to use the moss.
- Remove the moss from the cup and rinse away the growing media under tap water.
- Divide into smaller portions before placement.
- Attach to rocks, roots, or wood using suitable thread, line, or aquarium-safe attachment methods.
- Trim regularly as growth becomes too long or dense.
