Product Description
Tropica Aquarium Soil Powder - 9 Litre
Tropica Aquarium Soil Powder - 9 Litre is a fine-grained complete active substrate for freshwater planted aquariums and larger aquascapes. It is especially useful for foreground planting, carpeting plants, and layouts where a finer soil texture gives better planting control and a more detailed finished look.
Tropica Aquarium Soil Powder for Large Foreground Layouts
The 9 Litre size is suitable for larger planted aquariums or aquascapes that use fine soil across wider foreground areas. Soil Powder can be used as the full bottom layer or combined with regular Aquarium Soil where a fine front zone and coarser rear zone are preferred.
Fine-Grained Active Bottom Layer for Plant Colour
- Complete active bottom layer for freshwater planted tanks.
- Fine grain size makes it especially suitable for foreground plants and detailed aquascapes.
- Can be used without any other type of bottom layer.
- Supports good plant growth from the beginning of the aquarium setup.
- Helps stimulate plant colour development and red plant shades.
- Lowers pH and slightly affects water chemistry.

Tropica Soil Powder Installation Directions
- Use Soil Powder as the complete active substrate or as a fine foreground layer in combination with regular Aquarium Soil.
- Build the substrate depth to suit the aquarium layout and slope it upward toward the back if desired.
- Plant small foreground plants and carpeting plants carefully with tweezers.
- Add water slowly using a plate, bag, or similar diffuser so the fine soil is not disturbed.
- Change 25-50% of the water at least twice weekly during the first 4 weeks after establishing the aquarium.
- Check pH and livestock response during startup because the soil lowers pH and slightly affects water chemistry.
