Seachem PhosBond - 100ml

Seachem PhosBond is a premium phosphate and silicate removal media designed for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Seachem describes PhosBond as a hybrid filtration media that combines the phosphate removal characteristics of aluminum oxide and granular ferric oxide into a single material. This combination is intended to deliver fast phosphate and silicate reduction while also maintaining strong physical integrity, helping the media resist breakdown under normal mechanical stress. Its high porosity and large surface area further support substantial binding capacity for ongoing nutrient control.

Directions for Seachem PhosBond

Rinse the media before use
Place it where water flow is strong through the media but not so strong that the media tumbles against itself
Use in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high-flow area of a trickle filter
Seachem recommends using a filter bag such as The Bag
Use 60 mL for every 200 L (50 US gallons) of saltwater or 400 L (100 US gallons) of freshwater
Leave the product in place for 4 days and then test phosphate or silicate concentration
If the level has not dropped to around 0.02 mg/L, replace the media
If the level has dropped appropriately, leave the media in place until concentrations begin to rise again
Continuous use of smaller quantities is preferred over intermittent use of larger quantities
Do not use in a tumbling media reactor because Seachem advises that tumbling can cause this media to produce dust

Aquarium Equipment Returns

All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 14 days of receipt of product.
Products may only be returned unused, and in original unopened packaging.
J&L Aquatics reserves the right to charge a non-refundable 20% restocking charge for any/all returned merchandise (excluding exchanges).
J&L Aquatics will not be responsible for return shipping charges. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. If the item was originally shipped under our free shipping policy, the cost of doing so will be removed from the credit. Before returning/exchanging any goods, we require that you authorize your return with J&L Aquatics. Any items returned without our authorization will be declined.
In the event that your order is damaged by the carrier, a claim will be filed with the carrier company. Upon approval of the claim by the carrier, your original order will be re-shipped to you at no additional cost. If you wish to return the damaged goods for a refund or credit, the 20% restocking charge will be applied. J&L Aquatics will not be held responsible for any/all shipping delays that may occur from time to time.
