Product Description
RowaPhos Phosphate Removal Media - 500 mL
RowaPhos Phosphate Removal Media - 500 mL is a high-capacity phosphate and silicate remover for aquariums where nutrient control is important. It is commonly used in reef systems, marine aquariums, freshwater tanks, and ponds to help reduce phosphate-driven algae issues.
More Phosphate-Removal Capacity for Established Aquarium Systems
The 500 mL container provides a larger supply of RowaPhos for aquarists who use phosphate media regularly. It is a useful size for medium to larger aquariums, multi-tank maintenance, or systems that need repeated media changes while phosphate levels are being brought under control.
RowaPhos Support for Reef Tanks and Algae-Prone Aquariums
- Removes phosphate and silicate from aquarium water.
- Ferric hydroxide media designed for freshwater and saltwater use.

- Does not leach removed phosphate back into the aquarium when exhausted.
- Can be used continuously and replaced as phosphate testing indicates.

Best Practices for Running RowaPhos
Keep the media contained in a media bag, between filter wool in a canister filter, or in a fluidized media reactor. Do not sprinkle RowaPhos directly into the aquarium. Do not rinse unless fluidizing the media, and keep unused media damp by closing the container after use. For best control, test phosphate regularly and replace the media when phosphate rises at the reactor or filter outlet. Smaller amounts changed more often are preferred over large amounts left unchanged for long periods.
