The Reef Octopus Regal 200-SSS Protein Skimmer is a space-saving controllable in-sump skimmer for medium to large reef aquariums where strong filtration is needed but sump footprint is limited.
Regal 200-SSS Space-Saving Skimmer for Larger Systems
The Regal 200-SSS delivers the same general capacity class as the 200-INT in a more compact sump-saving format. With the pump tucked into the skimmer footprint, it is suited to modern reef sumps where equipment space is valuable but high air draw and controllable DC performance are still required.

Bioload and Fitment Notes
Manufacturer bioload guidance rates the Regal 200-SSS for up to 400 gallons with light bioload, 300 gallons with medium bioload and 200 gallons with heavy bioload. Choose this model over the 200-INT when sump chamber footprint is the main constraint.

Directions
Install the skimmer in a sump chamber with stable water depth between 6 and 8 inches. Confirm the pump, controller, float switch, air line and output assembly are correctly installed before startup. Begin with a conservative pump setting, allow the skimmer to break in, and tune slowly to avoid collection cup overflow. Clean the cup, neck, pump intake and air path regularly.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
