Directions
Allow the refractometer and sample water to reach room temperature. Open the daylight plate and place several drops of sample on the prism surface then close the plate to spread the liquid evenly. Point the refractometer toward a bright light source and look through the eyepiece to read the value at the light dark boundary on the scale. Rinse the prism with fresh water after use and dry with a soft cloth. Calibrate periodically using distilled or RO water and the adjustment screwdriver.
