Reef Crest Pump Cleaner - 2800 Gram is a bulk citric acid cleaning blend for maintaining aquarium pumps, powerheads, skimmer parts and other equipment that develops mineral deposits or coralline algae buildup.
Bulk Pump Cleaner for Larger Aquarium Systems
This larger Pump Cleaner size is well suited for reef keepers, fish rooms, service routines and aquariums with multiple pumps or high-maintenance equipment. A properly mixed solution helps soften and dissolve buildup so parts can be brushed clean and returned to service more easily.
Reef Crest 2800 Gram Pump Cleaner Features
- Bulk citric acid blend for aquarium equipment cleaning.
- Helps remove mineral deposits, calcium buildup, coralline algae and stubborn residue.
- Useful for pumps, powerheads, wavemakers, skimmer parts, impellers and housings.
- Can be used as a soaking solution or applied with a squirt bottle and brush.
- Will not harm pumps or other electrical equipment like harsher cleaning products may.
- Unused clean solution can be stored indefinitely.
- 2700 grams of Pump Clean makes approximately 16 gallons of solution.
Equipment Cleaning Notes
Use regular equipment cleaning as part of aquarium maintenance to help restore flow, improve pump efficiency and reduce stress on moving parts. Soaking time may vary depending on how heavily the equipment is coated.
Directions
Add 3/4 cup, or approximately 170 g / 6 oz, of Reef Crest Pump Clean to 1 gallon of RODI water and mix until fully dissolved. Use a squirt bottle and brush for lighter cleaning, or soak equipment for a couple of hours for thicker coralline algae and stubborn deposits. When finished, dispose of dirty solution and rinse all equipment thoroughly with RODI water before returning it to the aquarium.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.

Affirm & Financing Orders
- Affirm or similar financing orders that are cancelled or returned in-store are subject to a 5% service charge. This covers the processing fee charged to us by the financing provider.
- The Affirm service charge does not apply to confirmed defective or warranty returns.
