Reef Crest Elephant Stone Rock - 1lb
Reef Crest Elephant Stone Rock - 1lb is a heavily textured gray-tan aquascaping stone for freshwater planted aquariums, nature layouts and rugged mountain-style hardscapes.
Elephant Stone for Weathered Rock Layouts
Also known as Elephant Skin Stone, this rock has deep creases, dimples and aged surface texture that create a weathered cliff-like appearance. It works well in iwagumi, riverbank and natural mountain layouts where texture and shadow are important design elements.
Elephant Stone Features
- Heavily textured gray-tan stone for freshwater aquascaping.
- Distinct cracked and dimpled surface resembles weathered rock faces.
- Dense pieces are useful for gravity-stacked hardscape structures.
- Excellent grip for Anubias, Bucephalandra, Java Fern and mosses.
- Colour deepens when wet for strong contrast against bright plants.
- Sold by weight as mixed natural pieces.
This item is exempt from our free shipping policy.
Water Chemistry and Compatibility
Elephant Stone can modestly harden water depending on the batch and aquarium conditions. Monitor GH and KH when keeping soft-water fish, sensitive shrimp or livestock that require tightly controlled mineral levels.
Directions
Rinse and scrub thoroughly to remove dust from creases before placing in the aquarium. Build the hardscape on glass or a protective base before adding substrate, then secure taller stacks with aquarium-safe gel cyanoacrylate or stone-safe epoxy. Recheck stability before filling the aquarium fully.
What's Included
- 1 lb of Reef Crest Elephant Stone Rock in assorted natural pieces.
