Product Description
Red Sea ReefLED G2 170
The Red Sea ReefLED G2 170 is a high-output 170W smart reef aquarium LED for larger and deeper reef systems, delivering REEF-SPEC spectrum control, strong PAR performance and advanced ReefBeat lighting automation from a compact fixture.
High-Output ReefLED G2 for Large Reef Displays
The ReefLED G2 170 is designed for reef aquariums that need greater spread and depth penetration than the smaller G2 models. Its 32" x 32" coverage profile and 32" maximum water depth make it a strong option for larger mixed reefs, SPS systems and deep display aquariums where spectrum quality, intensity control and fixture consistency are critical.
Red Sea ReefLED G2 170 Features
- 170W compact LED array: Highest-output ReefLED G2 model in this group for larger coverage areas and deeper reef displays.
- REEF-SPEC spectrum control: Tunable from 8,000K reef-white to 23,000K REEF-SPEC blue, with full power available from 10,000K and higher.
- Stronger blue and UV response: The G2 chipset emphasizes violet, ultraviolet and boosted blue wavelengths to improve fluorescence and coral colour presentation.
- Deep-water PAR performance: Rated for 130 µmol/m²/sec at 80 cm / 32" depth, making it the best fit of these three models for deeper aquariums.
- Homogenous optical design: Compact LED array and optical glass hollow lens help create even colour blending and natural shimmer.
- Dedicated 3W moonlight: Supports reef-safe nighttime viewing with lunar cycle programming through ReefBeat.
- ReefBeat smart features: Offers weekly scheduling, program library, manual control, photo mode, staggered sunrise, clouds, acclimation and app status notifications.
- Large-system mounting options: Compatible with ReefLED 160/170 mounting arms, pendant systems with the correct adapter tray and suitable suspension kits, sold separately.

Application and Compatibility Notes
The Red Sea ReefLED G2 170 is the appropriate choice when aquarium depth, width or coral demand exceeds the practical range of the G2 60 or G2 115. For long aquariums, multiple fixtures should be spaced according to the reef layout and coral plan. Mounting hardware is sold separately, so select the matching 160/170 arm, compatible suspension kit or pendant system with the correct 160/170 adapter tray.

Setup Directions
Install the ReefLED G2 170 on a compatible heavy-duty mounting arm, pendant or suspension system and confirm the fixture is secure before operation. Keep the DC jack and fixture dry, maintain open airflow around the top and sides, position the power supply in a dry ventilated location and use drip loops on all cables. Connect the light through ReefBeat, verify the mounted Wi-Fi signal and use the acclimation program when moving corals under the new lighting profile.
