• Return pump reference: Red Sea specifies two ReefRun G2 12000 pumps in the corresponding MAX S-1000 G3+ package. The pumps are purchased separately with this standard reef-ready system.
• Reef lighting reference: Four ReefLED G2 170 fixtures are specified for the MAX S-1000 G3+. Alternative lighting should be selected for the full 210 x 68 cm (82.7 x 26.8 inch) footprint and the intensity requirements of the planned corals.
• Protein skimmer reference: The corresponding MAX package uses an RSK DC 900. Alternative skimmers should be chosen for the aquarium's filtration requirements and the adjustable 21-27 cm (8.3-10.6 inch) skimmer operating depth.
• Supplementary circulation: Red Sea specifies two ReefWave 45 pumps in the MAX configuration. Independently selected wavemakers should create suitable water movement along the 210 cm display and behind substantial rockwork.
• Split-sump planning: Decide whether the glass extension will operate as additional filtration, a refugium, freshwater storage, prepared saltwater storage, or a separate frag tank before finalizing the equipment layout.

Directions

• Verify the installation location provides sufficient floor support, delivery access, and room for servicing a fully equipped 210 cm aquarium before assembly.
• Assemble and level the white marine-spec aluminum cabinet following Red Sea's instructions. Arrange appropriate lifting equipment and assistance for positioning the heavy eurobraced glass aquarium.
• Install the main REEF-SPEC sump, glass extension, overflow, ReefGate valve, and supplied dual return plumbing. Decide whether the extension will be connected to the aquarium or operated independently.
• Mount ReefControl Pro and connect the ReefControl ATO Module, including the digital level and temperature sensor, top-off pump, tubing, tube holder, and siphon breaker.
• Arrange compatible controllers, dosing equipment, and power hardware on the slide-out control panel, maintaining safe wiring and sufficient maintenance access.
• Install the selected return pumps, protein skimmer, reef lighting, heating, and wavemakers. Adjust the skimmer chamber water level within its 21-27 cm range to meet the chosen skimmer's requirements.
• Follow Red Sea's initial-fill and leak-inspection procedure. Tune the ReefGate gradually, allowing the overflow operating level to stabilize after each adjustment.
• Perform a power-out test to ensure the connected filtration system can accommodate drain-back water when return circulation stops.
• Maintain the mechanical filters, surface-skimming combs, and ATO sensor. If the extension is used separately, maintain suitable conditions for its chosen reservoir or coral-propagation application.
• Register the aquarium with Red Sea within 90 days of purchase to qualify for the extended manufacturer warranty.
