Red Sea Reef-Frame 350 - White Cabinet
The Red Sea Reef-Frame 350 - White Cabinet combines a 282 litre (74.5 US gallon) eurobraced ultra-clear aquarium with a 71 litre (18.8 gallon) REEF-SPEC filtration sump and reinforced white marine-spec plywood cabinet. With a total system volume of 353 litres (93.4 US gallons), this reef-ready aquarium provides a substantial 120 cm (47.2 inch) display for marine aquarists who want greater aquascaping freedom, flexible filtration, and independently selected reef equipment.
The REEF-FRAME 350 incorporates dual 25 mm return outlets for single- or dual-pump operation, an enlarged quiet downflow, precision ReefGate valve, adjustable skimmer chamber, optional refugium-divider compatibility, and a removable ReefMat-ready filtration section. Its white cabinet provides a bright furniture-style finish while keeping plumbing and filtration equipment below the main display. The system is supplied as a customizable reef-ready platform rather than a fully equipped MAX package.
Red Sea Reef-Frame 350 White Aquarium Construction
- 120 cm (47.2 inch) ultra-clear display: The longer aquarium provides space for larger coral colonies, separated rock islands, open sand areas, and swimming channels between reef structures.
- Eurobraced glass reinforcement: The upper perimeter bracing strengthens the aquarium, while the 12 mm (0.47 inch) ultra-clear front viewing panel provides improved visibility of marine livestock and coral colours.
- 55 cm (21.7 inch) front-to-back depth: The aquarium offers additional room for layered aquascaping compared with the 53 cm (20.9 inch) width of the REEF-FRAME 250.
- White marine-spec plywood cabinet: Reinforced plywood construction supports the aquarium's full contour, with splash-resistant doors, stainless steel hinges, and heavy-duty adjustable leveling feet.
- Separate sump filtration: The main display remains dedicated to livestock and aquascaping, with filtration, skimming, and return equipment installed inside the cabinet below.
Dual Returns for Flexible Aquarium Circulation
One of the REEF-FRAME 350's most useful features is its dual-return plumbing. Unlike the single-outlet REEF-FRAME 170 and 250 models, the 350 provides two curved 25 mm outlets that can operate from one return pump or two separate pumps, offering additional flexibility when planning how filtered water enters the display.
- Two curved 25 mm return outlets: The dual connections support single- or dual-pump arrangements and provide two return points for distributing water into the longer aquarium.
- ReefGate precision valve: Fine adjustment of the main downflow allows the overflow water level to be balanced against the return pump system for quieter operation.
- Enlarged rectangular downflow: The drain inlet is designed to reduce water turbulence as it enters the plumbing, helping limit operating noise.
- Regulated drainage with bypass: The overflow uses a controlled main downpipe and secondary bypass pipe as part of the water-management system.
- Removable surface-skimming combs: Sections surrounding the central overflow can be removed for cleaning to maintain unrestricted surface-water collection.
- Optional plumbing customization: Compatible metric and USA pipe-connection kits are available for aquarists planning modified plumbing arrangements.
71 Litre REEF-SPEC Sump and ReefMat Filtration
The REEF-FRAME 350 includes a 71 litre (18.8 US gallon) sump with removable mechanical filtration, an adjustable-height protein skimmer chamber, and support for an optional dedicated refugium. The additional capacity provides more flexibility for equipment selection and servicing than the smaller REEF-FRAME 250 sump.
- Adjustable skimmer water depth: The operating level can be set between 17 and 23 cm (6.7-9.1 inches), allowing compatible protein skimmers to operate at their specified water depth.
- 225-micron filter bag: The included fine-mesh bag captures suspended debris from the aquarium before water passes through the remaining sump chambers.
- Included media cup: One media cup provides an alternative filtration option within the mechanical filtration section.
- ReefMat-ready compartment: The mechanical filter tray and divider can be removed for installation of compatible automatic roller filtration. Red Sea specifies the ReefMat 500 in the corresponding MAX 350 equipment configuration.
- Optional refugium divider: A compatible divider allows part of the sump to be configured as a dedicated refugium, providing additional flexibility when designing the aquarium's filtration system.
- Bubble-stripping water path: The sump incorporates a bubble-trap section with coarse sponge to help prevent unwanted bubbles from returning to the display.
Equipment Selection for the REEF-FRAME 350
The standard REEF-FRAME 350 is intended for reef keepers who want to select their preferred lighting, pumps, protein skimmer, and control equipment. The system provides the aquarium, cabinet, sump, and water-management plumbing, leaving the aquarist free to build a configuration suited to the intended fish and corals.
- Recommended return pump: Red Sea specifies one ReefRun G2 6000 with an adjustable flow range of 3,600-6,500 L/h (950-1,700 US gph), sold separately.
- Return pump flexibility: The dual outlets can be connected to one pump or two separate pumps, depending on the selected plumbing arrangement and circulation requirements.
- Lighting selection: Choose reef lighting suited to the 120 x 55 cm (47.2 x 21.7 inch) display. Fixture placement and quantity should provide suitable coverage for the planned coral species.
- Skimmer compatibility: Select a skimmer that fits within the sump and operates correctly at a water depth between 17 and 23 cm (6.7-9.1 inches).
- Wavemaker planning: Dedicated circulation pumps can supplement the two return outlets by directing flow behind aquascaping structures and around coral colonies.
- Optional automated filtration: A compatible ReefMat can replace the manual mechanical filtration compartment for automatic collection of suspended debris.
- Top-off and monitoring: An automatic top-off system is recommended for water-level and salinity stability. ReefControl hardware, ATO equipment, lighting, skimming, and circulation devices are purchased separately with this bare-system configuration.

Directions
- Choose a suitable installation location capable of supporting approximately 547 kg (1,205 lb). Red Sea specifies at least 10 cm (4 inches) behind the aquarium and recommends approximately 60 cm (24 inches) of side access.
- Assemble and level the reinforced white cabinet according to the manufacturer's instructions before positioning the aquarium. The glass aquarium weighs approximately 97 kg (214 lb), so arrange appropriate lifting assistance.
- Install the sump and plumbing with connector O-rings properly seated. Hand-tighten threaded fittings without tools and avoid overtightening.
- Choose and install the return pump arrangement, protein skimmer, and other filtration equipment before filling. Follow Red Sea's initial-fill procedure and inspect all plumbing connections for leaks.
- Set the adjustable skimmer chamber water depth to match the requirements of the selected protein skimmer.
- Adjust the ReefGate valve gradually, allowing several minutes for the overflow water level to stabilize between adjustments.
- Complete a power-out test to ensure the sump has sufficient capacity for water draining from the display when circulation stops.
- Maintain the filter bag, media cup, removable overflow combs, and return nozzles to prevent debris buildup and restricted flow.
- Register the aquarium with Red Sea within 90 days of purchase to qualify for the extended manufacturer warranty.
