Red Sea Reef ATO+ System

The Red Sea Reef ATO+ System is a smart 3-in-1 auto top off, temperature monitor and leak detection system for saltwater aquariums, built to help maintain stable water volume, salinity and day-to-day reef system awareness through Red Sea's ReefBeat ecosystem.

Smart Auto Top Off for Stable Reef Salinity

Evaporation removes freshwater from a reef aquarium but leaves salt behind, which can gradually raise salinity if top off water is not replaced consistently. The Reef ATO+ automatically replenishes evaporated freshwater, helping keep sump level and salinity more stable while adding temperature monitoring and leak detection in the same connected system.

• Solid-state titanium water level sensor: Uses EC technology probes instead of a mechanical float switch, helping avoid moving-part failures in the sump.

• Variable flow ATO pump: Quiet 12 VDC pump automatically adjusts to the installation and provides controlled top off flow into the sump.

Application and Compatibility Notes

The full Red Sea Reef ATO+ System is the correct version when the aquarium needs the complete sensor mounting package, including the magnetic corner mounting bracket for non-Red Sea or non-REEFER installations. For compatible Red Sea REEFER aquariums that already have the required sensor mounting hardware, the separate REEFER Upgrade Kit may be the more cost-effective version.

Setup Directions

Install the sensor at the operating water level in the sump, place the ATO pump in a suitable freshwater reservoir and route the tubing to the sump using the tube holder and siphon breaker. Position the leak detector where water would collect first in the event of a leak. Connect the controller through the ReefBeat App, confirm that the sensor, pump and leak detector are recognized, and test top off operation before relying on unattended operation. Always use proper drip loops and keep electrical devices protected from splashing.
