The Nyos Quantum 300 Protein Skimmer is the largest standard Nyos Quantum protein skimmer, designed for high-demand marine and reef aquariums up to 4,000 litres or 1,000 gallons. With two Quantum 5.0 pumps, dual high-performance skimming capacity, Nyos Hybrid Wheel technology, Clear-View Reactor design, Twister bubble management, and the flow-optimized Sinus body, the Quantum 300 is built for serious large-system nutrient export.
Dual-Pump Quantum 300 Skimming for Very Large Systems
The Quantum 300 is made for large reef tanks, public-style displays, fish rooms, high-bioload marine aquariums, and heavily fed systems where skimmer capacity must keep up with major organic waste production. Its twin-pump design provides the air-water mixing volume required for demanding installations while still keeping the pumps inside the skimmer footprint for a cleaner sump layout.

Compatibility and Large-System Notes
The Nyos Quantum 300 Protein Skimmer requires a large sump chamber with stable water depth, enough open footprint for the skimmer body, and sufficient vertical clearance for collection cup removal. Because this model has very high export capacity, tuning should be gradual, especially on newer aquariums or low-nutrient reef systems. Match the skimmer to true system volume, fish load, coral demand, feeding level, sump layout, and maintenance access.

Directions for Use
Install the skimmer in a stable sump section with the required footprint and service clearance, assemble both Quantum 5.0 pumps and the bubble plate, connect the air intakes, and secure the collection cup. Begin with conservative settings during the break-in period, then tune the water setting pipe, micro-adjustment screw, and air control gradually to match the aquarium's bioload and desired skimmate concentration. Empty and clean the cup regularly, keep the skimmer neck clean, and inspect both pumps and air paths during scheduled maintenance.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
