The Nyos Quantum 220 Protein Skimmer is a large high-performance in-sump skimmer for marine and reef aquariums up to 2,000 litres or 500 gallons. Built with the Quantum 5.0 pump, Nyos Hybrid Wheel impeller, Clear-View Reactor, Twister bubble plate, Sinus body design, precision water-level control, and robust seawater-ready materials, the Quantum 220 is designed for strong organic waste removal in demanding reef systems.

The Quantum 220 is intended for aquariums where skimming capacity, stability, and adjustability are all important. It is a strong choice for large mixed reefs, stocked fish systems, SPS aquariums, and higher-feeding marine displays where dissolved organics can accumulate quickly. Compatibility and Large Reef Notes
The Nyos Quantum 220 Protein Skimmer requires a sump chamber with stable water depth, adequate footprint, and enough clearance to remove the collection cup for cleaning. For larger reef systems, skimmer choice should consider true water volume, fish load, coral type, feeding schedule, nutrient targets, and export methods already in use. Start conservatively on new installations and increase tuning gradually once the skimmer has broken in.

Directions for Use
Position the skimmer in a stable sump chamber with suitable clearance, assemble the Quantum 5.0 pump and bubble plate, connect the air intake, and lock the cup into place. Allow the skimmer to run through its break-in period before making final tuning decisions. Use the water setting pipe for broad adjustment and the micro-adjustment screw for finer foam-height control. Clean the cup and neck regularly, check the air intake for salt creep, and inspect the pump during scheduled maintenance.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
