The Nyos Quantum 220 EQ Upgrade Kit upgrades an existing Nyos Quantum 220 Protein Skimmer to the controllable Quantum 220 EQ platform. Built for larger reef systems that already use the standard Quantum 220 skimmer body, this kit adds a 24V Quantum 5.0 pump, controller, RGB LED skimmer lighting, power supply, updated bubble plate, Mobius app control, Apex Fusion compatibility through the optional MXM module, and programmable skimmer operation.
Connected Quantum 220 Skimmer Performance
The Quantum 220 EQ Upgrade Kit is designed for reef keepers who want more control from an existing Quantum 220 skimmer without replacing the complete body. Once upgraded, the skimmer can be adjusted electronically from 1-100%, scheduled for different times of day, reduced during feeding or water changes, and adapted to changing nutrient demand in larger reef aquariums.

- Designed for Quantum 220 conversion: Converts the standard Nyos Quantum 220 Protein Skimmer into the Quantum 220 EQ configuration while keeping the existing skimmer body and cup assembly.
- Quantum 5.0 24V pump: The included controllable pump provides the EQ power platform for larger reef aquariums and higher nutrient export demand.
- Mobius wireless operation: App-based control allows speed adjustment, schedule programming, preset templates, and scene integration through the Mobius app.
- Apex Fusion integration option: The upgraded skimmer can be integrated with Apex Fusion when paired with the Neptune Systems MXM Mobius Wireless Control Module, sold separately.
- Full 1-100% speed range: Stepless pump control gives reef keepers a much wider tuning window than a fixed-speed skimmer pump.
- Useful preset templates: Performance Mode, Plankton Saving Mode, and Nutrient Export Reduction Mode help align skimmer output with the aquarium's actual nutrient-management needs.
- Scene-based skimmer behaviour: Mobius scenes can reduce pump speed during feeding, maintenance, or water changes and then return the skimmer to its programmed operating level.
- Smart blockage response: If the pump intake is blocked, the system can shut down, allow water to move out of the skimmer, attempt restart, flash the RGB LED red, and send an app alert if the issue remains.
- RGB LED status lighting: The included skimmer lighting displays pump speed by colour code and can also act as cabinet lighting during service.

Compatibility and Large Reef Notes
The Nyos Quantum 220 EQ Upgrade Kit is made for the Nyos Quantum 220 Protein Skimmer and should not be treated as a complete protein skimmer. It does not include the full skimmer body, collection cup, lid, or standard skimmer assembly. Apex Fusion use requires the separate Neptune Systems MXM Mobius Wireless Control Module. This upgrade is best suited to larger reef systems where app control, programmable schedules, and precise nutrient export adjustment are valuable additions to the existing Quantum 220 platform.

Directions for Use
Remove the existing Quantum 220 pump components and install the included Quantum 5.0 24V pump, controller, RGB LED lighting, power supply, and bubble plate following the Nyos assembly instructions. Once installed, reconnect the skimmer, pair it with Mobius, and begin with a moderate pump speed while the system stabilizes. Use small speed changes when tuning foam height, and create schedules or scenes for feeding, water changes, maintenance, nighttime reduction, or lower nutrient export periods.

- We always make our best effort to ship your order via the carrier chosen during the check-out process; however, for some multi-piece shipments and/or remote destinations, we must reserve the right to use another carrier at our discretion (and without prior notice). - Upon request, we will ship your dry goods as per your specifications (courier, airlines, on your account, etc.).
- Quoted rates are the carriers live discounted shipping rates after adjusting for any/all shipping promotions.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items
- If you receive an item that is defective, not working, or dead on arrival (DOA), please contact us as soon as possible.
- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.

Affirm & Financing Orders
- Affirm or similar financing orders that are cancelled or returned in-store are subject to a 5% service charge. This covers the processing fee charged to us by the financing provider.
- The Affirm service charge does not apply to confirmed defective or warranty returns.
