The Nyos Quantum 220 EQ Protein Skimmer is a controllable high-performance in-sump skimmer for large reef aquariums with heavier nutrient demands. It pairs the proven Quantum 220 skimmer body with a 24V Quantum 5.0 controllable pump, Mobius wireless control, Apex Fusion compatibility through the optional MXM module, RGB status lighting, intelligent safety protection, and precision pump speed control.
Controllable Nutrient Export for Large Reef Tanks
The Quantum 220 EQ is designed for systems where nutrient export needs to be powerful but still adjustable. Instead of running at one fixed output all day, the skimmer can be scheduled around feeding, water changes, maintenance, and nighttime reef behaviour. This makes it a strong choice for large mixed reefs, SPS-dominant aquariums, predator systems, and heavily stocked marine displays that benefit from precise skimmer management.

Compatibility and Application Notes
The Nyos Quantum 220 EQ Protein Skimmer should be used in a sump with a consistent water level and enough open footprint for the skimmer body and service access. Mobius control provides direct wireless skimmer management, while Apex Fusion operation requires the separate Neptune Systems MXM Mobius Wireless Control Module. Because the 220 EQ has substantial skimming capacity, start conservatively during break-in and increase pump speed only after the foam head stabilizes.

Directions for Use
Place the skimmer in a sump chamber with stable water depth, assemble the pump and bubble plate, connect the controller and power supply, then pair the skimmer with Mobius. Begin with moderate pump output and a conservative water level while the skimmer breaks in. After several days of operation, use app speed control and the skimmer outlet adjustment to set the foam height. Empty and clean the collection cup as needed, keep the neck clean for consistent production, and inspect the intake and pump area during routine maintenance.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
