Neptune GRO Refugium Light - Pipe Mount is a compact 20W LED refugium light designed to grow macroalgae such as Chaetomorpha while mounting to existing hard plumbing above or behind the sump.
Pipe-Mounted GRO Light for Refugiums
The Neptune GRO uses a flat rectangular LED panel to spread light evenly over the refugium instead of creating the narrow beam pattern common with spotlight-style refugium lights. This helps reduce hot spots, improves coverage across rectangular refugium areas, and keeps useful light concentrated where macroalgae is growing.
The Pipe Mount version is useful when there is no ideal flat sump edge for clamping, or when a cleaner installation can be achieved by attaching the light to existing plumbing. The flexible gooseneck allows the light panel to be aimed over the refugium while the pipe clamp keeps the mounting point away from the waterline.

Pipe Clamp Mounting Advantages
The included pipe clamp bracket attaches to compatible hard plumbing, making this version a strong choice for sump areas where the rim is crowded, inaccessible, or not suitable for a flat clamp. The pipe mount helps keep the light organized while allowing the flexible gooseneck to position the GRO panel directly over the macroalgae bed.

Power and Compatibility Notes
The GRO plugs into an available DC24 port on compatible Apex equipment such as the EnergyBar 832 or 1LINK module. A power supply is not included. To run the GRO as a standalone refugium light without an Apex DC24 connection, use the optional Neptune PS-DC24 power supply.
Choose the Pipe Mount version when the light will be mounted to compatible hard plumbing. For installations where the light needs to clamp to a sump rim, refugium edge, or other flat surface, use the Flat Mount version instead.
Setup Directions
Attach the pipe clamp bracket to suitable hard plumbing, adjust the flexible gooseneck so the light panel is aimed across the refugium, and connect the GRO to a compatible DC24 port or optional standalone power supply. Confirm that the mount is secure, keep cords managed with drip loops, and set the refugium lighting schedule according to the aquarium's nutrient export needs.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.

- Affirm or similar financing orders that are cancelled or returned in-store are subject to a 5% service charge. This covers the processing fee charged to us by the financing provider.
