Product Description
Neptune Flow Sensor - 1/2 Inch
Neptune Flow Sensor - 1/2 Inch is an inline aquarium flow sensor for monitoring medium-low flow through reactors, carbon filters, GFO filters, and other accessory plumbing using the Neptune FMM.
1/2 Inch Flow Monitoring for Reactors and Accessories
This sensor is commonly used on aquarium accessory lines where knowing the actual flow rate matters. Media reactors, carbon or GFO filters, UV bypasses, and small auxiliary plumbing loops can all lose performance when flow drops, and the 1/2 inch Neptune Flow Sensor helps make that change visible through a compatible Apex system.
Neptune 1/2 Inch Flow Sensor Features
- Inline flow sensor for 1/2 inch aquarium plumbing applications
- Designed for use with the Neptune FMM Fluid Monitoring Module
- Reports flow rate to a compatible Apex system
- Useful for reactors, carbon filters, GFO filters, and auxiliary filtration lines
- Helps detect clogged media, closed valves, restricted tubing, or weak feed-pump performance
- Includes PVC adapters with slip fittings for standard 1/2 inch PVC plumbing
- Good choice for equipment lines that run lower than main return-pump flow

Compatibility and Use Notes
This sensor requires a Neptune FMM module and compatible Apex system to display flow data. Choose the 1/2 inch sensor only when the expected operating flow falls within the 30-250 GPH range. For very small tubing applications, use the 1/4 inch sensor; for larger return-pump plumbing, use the 1 inch or 2 inch sensor as appropriate.
Setup Directions
Install the sensor inline on the plumbing run being monitored, using the included adapters and proper plumbing practices. Confirm the direction of flow, connect the sensor to the FMM, configure it in Apex Fusion, and check for leaks. Once normal operating flow is established, create alerts for low-flow or abnormal-flow conditions if desired.
