MarinLab ICP-OES Aquarium & RO Water Test
MarinLab ICP-OES Aquarium & RO Water Test is a mail-in laboratory analysis kit for testing both marine aquarium water and RO source water, helping aquarists evaluate the tank and the water being used to maintain it.
Aquarium and RO Water ICP-OES Testing
This kit is useful when you want to understand not only the chemistry inside the aquarium, but also whether the RO water supply may be contributing unwanted elements or imbalances. Testing both samples can help separate aquarium-related issues from source-water problems.
MarinLab Aquarium and RO Test Features
- Mail-in ICP-OES laboratory analysis for aquarium water and RO water
- Helps detect deficiencies, excesses, and potentially harmful elements
- Useful for reef aquariums where trace elements and source-water purity are important
- Can help identify whether issues are coming from dosing, salt mix, equipment, contamination, or water source
- Includes separate sample vials for aquarium water and RO water
- Includes an individual test code for online registration and result access
- Practical for troubleshooting, periodic monitoring, and checking RO system performance
Aquarium & RO Test Specifications
- Test type: ICP-OES laboratory analysis
- Sample types: Marine aquarium water and RO water
- Application: Saltwater aquarium chemistry and source-water evaluation
- Registration: Online sample registration using the included test code

Testing Notes for Reef Systems
Use the aquarium result to review tank chemistry and the RO result to check the water source before salt is mixed. This can be especially helpful when troubleshooting unexplained coral stress, recurring algae issues, unusual element levels, or suspected contamination from source water.
Sample Submission Directions
Rinse each vial twice with the water intended for that specific sample before filling. Use the RO vial for RO water and the aquarium vial for aquarium water, then close both vials tightly. Register the sample code online, complete the shipping envelope details, and mail the samples to the laboratory for analysis.
What's Included
- One aquarium water test vial
- One RO water test vial
- Individual test code
- Shipping envelope for sending the samples to the laboratory
