The Klir Di-4 Fleece Filter - Version 2 is a compact drop-in automatic fleece filter designed to replace most 4 inch filter socks and reduce the constant maintenance of rinsing and changing mechanical filtration media.
Klir Di-4 V2 Automatic Sock Replacement
The Di-4 V2 is built for aquarium sumps with compatible 4 inch sock trays, allowing water to pass through a roll of fine fleece instead of a traditional filter sock. As the fleece loads with suspended particles and the water level rises, the sensor triggers the motor to advance a clean section of fleece. This keeps mechanical filtration working automatically while physically removing captured waste before it has more time to break down in the system.
Di-4 Fleece Filter Features
- Drop-in 4 inch sock replacement: Installs in most compatible 4 inch filter sock chambers without requiring extra sump space or complicated plumbing.
- Automatic fleece advancement: The V2 smart controller and magnet-mount optical sensor advance the fleece when the used section becomes clogged and the water level rises.
- 50-micron mechanical filtration: Fine fleece captures suspended debris to help polish aquarium water and reduce the amount of waste left circulating in the sump.
- 25-yard fleece roll: The included fleece roll provides long-running mechanical filtration before replacement is needed, with actual roll life depending on flow rate, feeding, stocking, and system load.
- Up to 750 GPH capacity: Suitable for sump flow up to 750 gallons per hour per unit when installed within the manufacturer requirements.
- Version 2 control system: Includes the upgraded V2 smart controller and triple optical magnet mount sensor listed for the Version 2 Klir filter.
- Carbon insert lid: The removable lid includes an activated carbon insert to help reduce noise and odour around the fleece chamber.
- Expandable installation option: Multiple Klir units can be used in compatible sump layouts where higher mechanical filtration capacity is required.

Di-4 Sump Compatibility Notes
The Klir Di-4 V2 is intended for sumps with a compatible filter sock tray. The sump must be able to hold at least 1.5 inches of water above the sock tray and provide sufficient clearance below and above the tray for the unit to sit and operate properly. For sumps without sock trays, use the compatible Klir Di-4 Filter Bracket sold separately. Always check chamber depth, lid opening, drain alignment, and available working room before installation.

Klir Di-4 Setup Directions
Remove the existing 4 inch filter sock and test-fit the Klir Di-4 V2 in the sock tray. Confirm that the unit sits correctly, the fleece path is clear, and the sensor is positioned where rising water will trigger fleece advancement. Connect the motor, sensor, controller, and power supply according to the manufacturer instructions. After startup, observe the first operating cycle to confirm water is passing through the fleece and that the controller advances clean material when needed.

- We always make our best effort to ship your order via the carrier chosen during the check-out process; however, for some multi-piece shipments and/or remote destinations, we must reserve the right to use another carrier at our discretion (and without prior notice). - Upon request, we will ship your dry goods as per your specifications (courier, airlines, on your account, etc.).

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items
- If you receive an item that is defective, not working, or dead on arrival (DOA), please contact us as soon as possible.
- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.

Affirm & Financing Orders
- Affirm or similar financing orders that are cancelled or returned in-store are subject to a 5% service charge. This covers the processing fee charged to us by the financing provider.
- The Affirm service charge does not apply to confirmed defective or warranty returns.
