The JBJ Arctica 1/10HP Chiller is a titanium heat-exchanger aquarium chiller designed to stabilize water temperature in freshwater, planted, marine, and reef aquariums. Built with an onboard digital temperature controller, ozone-friendly R-134a refrigerant, and multiple inlet/outlet adapter sizes, the 1/10HP Arctica provides reliable inline cooling for aquarium systems where excess heat from lighting, pumps, room temperature, or seasonal conditions can push water temperatures beyond a safe range.
JBJ Arctica 1/10HP Chiller Overview
The 1/10HP Arctica is the smallest model in the standard JBJ Arctica Aquarium Series and is well suited to smaller and mid-sized systems that need a dedicated chiller rather than fan-based cooling. Water is pumped through the chiller body, passes through the titanium heat exchanger, and returns to the aquarium or filtration system at a controlled temperature. Sizing and Installation Notes for the JBJ Arctica 1/10HP Chiller
Choose chiller size based on total water volume, ambient room temperature, lighting, pump heat, cabinet ventilation, and the required temperature pull-down. Systems with high heat load or warm rooms may require a larger model. Install the chiller in a ventilated location and avoid sealed cabinets that trap hot exhaust air.
Directions
Position the chiller in a well-ventilated area with airflow clearance at the intake and exhaust. Connect the inlet and outlet using the appropriate adapter size, compatible tubing, and a properly sized pump that falls within the recommended flow range. Circulate water through the chiller before powering it on, check all connections for leaks, and create a proper drip loop. Set the desired temperature using the onboard controller. Always unplug the chiller before servicing and clean the condenser area regularly to maintain airflow and cooling performance.

- Upon request, we will do our best to ship your dry goods as per your specifications (courier, airlines, on your account, etc.).

Aquarium Equipment Returns
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 14 days of receipt of product.
- Products may only be returned unused, and in original unopened packaging.
- J&L Aquatics reserves the right to charge a non-refundable 20% restocking charge for any/all returned merchandise (excluding exchanges).
- J&L Aquatics will not be responsible for return shipping charges. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. If the item was originally shipped under our free shipping policy, the cost of doing so will be removed from the credit. Before returning/exchanging any goods, we require that you authorize your return with J&L Aquatics. Any items returned without our authorization will be declined.
- In the event that your order is damaged by the carrier, a claim will be filed with the carrier company. Upon approval of the claim by the carrier, your original order will be re-shipped to you at no additional cost. If you wish to return the damaged goods for a refund or credit, the 20% restocking charge will be applied. J&L Aquatics will not be held responsible for any/all shipping delays that may occur from time to time.

- Dry Good Order cancellations may also be subject to a 20% restocking charge.
