The IceCap Gyre 4K Pump with WaveEngine LE Controller is a high-output WiFi-controllable gyre circulation package for aquariums from 25 to 150+ gallons. It combines the 4,000 GPH IceCap 4K Gyre pump with the HYDROS WaveEngine LE controller, giving larger reef and saltwater systems wide crossflow movement, advanced app-based flow programming, direct pump control, and controller features designed for more dynamic water movement.

The 4K Gyre is built for aquariums that need stronger broad flow than the 2K model can provide. Its larger pump body and higher flow range make it well suited to larger reef displays, SPS-dominant aquariums, fish-heavy saltwater systems, long tanks, and layouts where rockwork can create dead zones behind or under structures. The gyre design helps create a continuous water-moving pattern across the aquarium rather than one concentrated blast from a small nozzle.
With the WaveEngine LE controller, the 4K becomes part of the HYDROS control ecosystem. The controller can run preset and custom flow patterns, set speed limits, create operational modes, monitor pump performance, and manage up to two compatible direct-drive pumps. This helps reduce equipment clutter and gives aquarists more precise control over flow intensity throughout the day.

4K Gyre Compatibility and Placement Notes
Use the 4K for systems that need stronger flow: The IceCap Gyre 4K Pump with WaveEngine LE Controller is a powerful circulation package and should be matched to tank size, aquascape, substrate, coral tolerance, and livestock behaviour. It can be excellent for long tanks and SPS-style reef systems, but lower settings should be used around delicate corals, loose sand, small fish, shrimp, and new livestock.
Plan for controller access: Mount the WaveEngine LE in a dry, accessible area away from splash zones and salt creep. Use drip loops on all cables and confirm the controller remains reachable for app setup, updates, and troubleshooting. When using multiple pumps, assign pump locations carefully in the HYDROS app so sync and anti-sync patterns behave as expected.

Setting Up the IceCap 4K Gyre with WaveEngine LE
Install the 4K Gyre on compatible aquarium glass or acrylic, connect the pump and WaveEngine LE components according to the manufacturer setup instructions, and configure the pump in the HYDROS app. Begin with reduced maximum speed, then increase intensity gradually while watching coral movement, fish behaviour, sand stability, and debris suspension. Clean the cages, rotors, propellers, and magnet mount regularly so the pump maintains strong and quiet operation.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items
