The IceCap Algae Scrubber Pro - Large is a high-capacity in-sump algae turf scrubber for aquariums up to 350 gallons. It provides controlled algae-based nutrient export with a larger screen, stronger EVO-2000 feed pump, and 30W of internal LED lighting for systems that need more nitrate and phosphate reduction capacity.
Large IceCap Pro In-Sump Scrubber Overview
This large Pro model is the highest-capacity internal IceCap algae scrubber option in this series. It is designed for larger reef, saltwater, and nutrient-heavy aquarium systems where excess nitrate and phosphate can fuel unwanted display algae. By growing algae inside the sump on a removable illuminated screen, the scrubber gives hobbyists a controlled place to harvest algae and remove captured nutrients from the system.

Large Algae Scrubber Compatibility Notes
The IceCap Algae Scrubber Pro - Large requires a sump with enough footprint, 21" body height clearance, and additional room above the unit for removing the lid, pipe, and screen. Confirm sump water depth, pump placement, and service access before installation. The LEDs should be run on a timer or aquarium controller, and many reef keepers run turf scrubbers opposite the display lighting schedule to help stabilize pH.

Using the Large IceCap Algae Scrubber Pro
Place the scrubber in the sump, adjust the body height so the bottom clears the water surface under the correct sump condition, and attach the included EVO-2000 pump. Confirm the screen receives even flow without spraying into the LED chambers. Run the lights on the selected schedule, then harvest algae every 1 to 3 weeks under normal conditions by removing the pipe and screen, scraping away part of the growth, and leaving some algae behind to seed the next cycle.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Defective, Warranty & DOA Items

- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.

Affirm & Financing Orders
- Affirm or similar financing orders that are cancelled or returned in-store are subject to a 5% service charge. This covers the processing fee charged to us by the financing provider.
