The Hygger Quartz Heater with Protective Sleeve - 100 Watt is an adjustable aquarium heater built for small to mid-size freshwater and saltwater aquariums. As part of Hygger's HG163 heater family, it uses an explosion-proof quartz heating tube protected by a heat-resistant ABS sleeve to help keep fish away from the direct heating surface. With external temperature control, a real-time LED display, power-loss memory, and automatic protection features, it gives aquarists a safer and more convenient way to manage aquarium temperature.

- Fully submerge the heater before plugging it into power.
- Install the heater near steady water movement to help balance aquarium temperature.
- Do not bury the heater in sand, gravel, or substrate.
- Keep the protective sleeve installed during operation to help prevent direct contact with the heating tube.
- Place the external controller in a dry location where the display is easy to see and adjust.
- Set the desired temperature within the 59F to 93F range using the controller.
- Inspect the heater regularly for debris, algae buildup, or damage, especially around the protective shell.
- Unplug the heater and let it cool for 15-20 minutes before moving it, removing it, or changing aquarium water.

Return Policy — Aquarium Equipment & Supplies
- All returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product.
- Before returning or exchanging any goods, you must contact J&L Aquatics to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior authorization will be declined.
- Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, in as-new condition, and in perfect sellable condition. All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.
- A 15% restocking fee applies to all online returns. This fee includes the cost of outbound shipping.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs on standard returns.
- Order cancellations made before shipping are not subject to a restocking fee.

Regular sale items (non-clearance) are returnable within the 30-day return window, subject to our standard return conditions.
Defective, Warranty & DOA Items
- If you receive an item that is defective, not working, or dead on arrival (DOA), please contact us as soon as possible.
- Confirmed defective and warranty returns have no restocking fee and no Affirm fee. Customer does not pay return shipping — J&L Aquatics will provide a prepaid return label.
- All defective claims are subject to inspection. Items showing signs of customer damage, improper installation, or misuse are not covered under warranty.
