Hygger Hydrometer
The Hygger Hydrometer is an easy-to-read aquarium salinity tester for checking specific gravity and salinity in marine and brackish aquariums. Its clear acrylic body, swing-arm pointer, PPT scale, and specific gravity scale make it a practical everyday tool for saltwater hobbyists who want a quick reading without using a digital meter.
Hygger Hydrometer Overview
This hydrometer is designed to be filled with aquarium water, placed on a level surface, and read from the built-in salinity and specific gravity scales. The wide stabilizer base helps keep the unit steady during testing, while the bubble diffuser helps reduce micro-bubbles on the pointer that can affect accuracy. It is best suited for routine checks in marine and brackish systems, especially after water changes, salt mixing, or salinity adjustments.
Salinity Testing Features
- Measures both specific gravity and salinity for aquarium water testing.
- Designed for marine and brackish aquarium applications.
- Clear acrylic body and easy-to-read swing-arm pointer make readings simple.
- Built-in base allows the hydrometer to rest on a counter or flat surface while testing.
- Bubble diffuser helps prevent micro-bubbles from forming on the pointer.
- Useful for checking salt mix, water changes, and routine saltwater aquarium maintenance.
- Includes a stick for helping remove bubbles from the pointer during testing.

Hydrometer Use and Care
Slowly fill the hydrometer with aquarium water to help prevent bubbles from attaching to the pointer, then place it on a level surface and read the specific gravity and salinity scales.
